I actually like Lucci here. because its at EL.
Lucci is a cerebral fellow, unlike Blackbeard or Luffy. No way (when given the option) he thinks to fight Magellan short range in an enclosed environment. And Ennis Lobby has A LOT of open spaces for him to flee into, many of them over water or at high altitude. That means with his Geppo, Lucci has an extreme advantage in maneuverability.
Magellan uses his venom road to get around..but that wont work in mid-air (say over the falls for instance, or over the bridge of hesitation). Also the move he used to hold luffy in place when he needed to catch up (the chloro-balls) shouldn't be nearly as effective outside in the open air. Not against a guy like Luffy that can fly.
As long as Luci takes the fight out door he should be able to take his time and with rankakyu, or his flying shigans.
Now, whether Magellan is so weak as to not be able to avoid that is questionable. But I think he can't. We've never seen Magellan avoid an attack...he seems quite gangly and is a huge target. I dont see how he blocks an attack like Rankakyu.
Now if this fight were indoors at ID, thats a whole different game. Magellan almost can't lose there.
Luffy isnt hurt by blunt attacks. And Lucci STILL almost bludgeoned him into submission. No one in OP has even come close to doing that.
For some perspective, Moria in his shadows asgard form cracked an island in two (thriller bark). He used that same attack while Luffy was trapped in his shadow box.
Flattened him.
And luffy was fine. Why? because it was a blunt attack, Luffy can flatten into paper and it doesn't hurt.
Lucci beat Luffy until he could barely move, without haki, its unprecedented.
Meanwhile, Lucci took everything Luffy threw at him (sometimes using Tekkai). I'd say their endurance levels are similar.

Quite the opposite is true I think. That was the longest fight Luffy has ever been in....it was essentially a draw. Luffy and Lucci traded blows almost equally. But Luffy has the advantage of being rubber.
