Lucy was definitely all out when she fought Brandish. The one who was not all out was Brandish instead. But DiMaria came to interrupt the fight.

I think Lucy wins this fight (with mid/hi diff). She is more versatile. Freed can't instantly create rune. It needs some time to be conjured. The one Laxus used against Wall could be a trap rune (very basic rune), since he already knew before that Wall can erase MBP. It was a trick.

Freed's rune as barrier could be useless, since Lucy can use Gemini-Marin and teleport herself to Freed's barrier.

can we really consider her breaking keys apart of her arsenal? Lucy that we know wouldn't do that shit again unless it was for the same reason she did in the first place. I agree with you guys on the last star dress and stuff but she was deff going all out when fighting Brandish.

It is really hard to say what you would do if you are pushed against a wall and your family is in danger. The tartaros moment was the first time she had been in that hopeless situation where she had to make a choice between different things. She had a better head on her shoulder this time vs Brandsih. Plus Aquarius was special, being her stand in mom/sister and also her mother's key. The only one that has that much emotional baggage would be Loke because she saved his life and Virgo because they get along so well.
