Who'd win in a magic battle Lucy or Wendy?

I'd say Wendy wins here. With Dragon Force, she's simply too strong for Lucy to really hold up against in the end, and she could probably blitz her with the increased speed Dragon Force gives her too. So yeah, Wendy mid diff.

I'm going with Lucy, high diff. Wendy has been awesome against Irene no doubt, but I still give the edge to Lucy in combat. Basically I think Lucy did better against Brandish than Wendy did against DiMaria.

Lucy would tie/win if she had Aquarius. Scorpio and Loke are probably the best spirits she has at the moment, but that wouldn't be enough to match Wendy.

Lately, Wendy's feats have been top-notched against Irene... so Lucy's chances of winning are slim. Not to mention, DF Wendy will be a source of extra power.

As of now, I'm going to vote Wendy. High diff for the benefit of the doubt. But I wouldn't be too surprised with mid-high diff either.

Wendy wins mid diff because I will give Lucy the benefit of a doubt. Wendy has better feets and they were against people actually trying to kill her and not put on a show like Brandish's bf called her out on mid chapter and in the frequency that Wendy has been fighting and the fact that she is injured and it really speaks to her endurance. Frankly until Lucy fights a serious opponent intent on killing her we can't even gauge if Urano Metria would be strong enough to end it even if she could pull it off. Right now the strongest attack Lucy has shown is Aqua Metria which Wendy should be able to punch a hole in with her roar, the Jacob fight showed how easy she locks up and how lacking her cqc skills are. Really the more I think about it the more I question if the star dress actually limits her one spirit because of it drain two spirits + tarus stardress could push this to extreme diff for Wendy with the assumption that Wendy can stand to enchant herself in df with the difference it made with Erza vs Irene, but we haven't seen multiple spirits since Lucy got the star dress and Wendy hasn't shown DF self-enchantment despite the desperate situations. Really I hate lucy in this arc it really destroys alot of the progress she made, it a freaking knife like fifteen feet away dodge for pete's sake little girls are staring down the god of time and you lock up over a knife.

I'm still wondering why people think Aqua Metria is strong. It is cool and all, but really, an enhanced Aqua Metria (redirected to Lucy by Brandish) didn't do much to Lucy herself. I don't see Aqua Metria as powerful as Urano Metria.

Tbh, I really don't know. These two are highly debatable on where they stand when compared to each other. Wendy in her DF may got speed but Lucy got Marin and Virgo form to dodge with and Loke to use to blind Wendy. Pretty tough to think, perhaps I should wait for more of you guys responses and see if it'll make sense of who will win. Though if CSK wasn't restricted then that wouldn't be necessary because without a doubt Lucy will win for sure.

Aqua Metria doesn't seem to be a damaging type of spell, but more like a type of spell that's meant to overwhelm Lucy's opponents from the powerful pressure of the waves which also will sweep them away. Although it is earth she's surging so perhaps it is a damage type but all Lucy did was just tanked it. As for it being powerful as Urano Metria, well it's not. Urano Metria is a very powerful one-shot type of spell that deals a very considerable amount of damage depending on the lvl. of Lucy's Magic Power which that spell consumes it all. Aqua Metria on the other hand may be powerful too but it's not like Urano Metria since it doesn't take up all of Lucy's power and not a one-shot K.O type of spell

Where did you gets command T enhanced aqua metria ? As far as I remember it did not enhanced anything.

But yes, I agree that aqua metria is not that strong. Just a normal water spell that is just like @Star Frost said.. Most likely to be used to overwhelmed opponent.

Reading through Chapter 501 where Lucy fought Brandish (on Crunchyroll), there's no mention that Brandish actually enhanced the attack. Now, she did reduce the size and then expand it, so you can argue that by influencing it with her magic like she did would power it up. That's just my take on it. Either way, Wendy has Dragon Force so it's not impossible for her just to counter the attack with an attack of her own and go through it to hit Lucy with an attack.

And no, brandish did not enhanced anything. All she did is compress AM and release it to her target. It's never stated that command T did anything else than compressing and expanding.

At the same time, I think it looked more forceful after what Brandish did to it so that's something to consider too. She is influencing it with her magic after all, so it's not like it's impossible for the attack to gain more strength/magic power from it. I think it's possible it did with it looking more forceful after Brandish's influence on it with her magic.

Either way, I don't think Aqua Metria really matters as much as some people say in this fight. Yes it's a decent attack but I don't think it will be as devastating to Wendy as some may think. After all, Wendy could enchant herself to be stronger and go Dragon Force to then parry the attack. There's other ways around it for Wendy too so I don't think it's an end all attack.

Literally no one in this thread has wanked Aqua Metria. I don't think anyone really does overrate this spell. Well it's not in the stratosphere of Macro or Bluenote's gravity.

Lucy gives Wendy a swimming lesson with AM, then drops UM. Done.

Going with Wendy because she has much better feats atm. All Lucy did was get punched around by a trash spriggan and fighting against a holding back average spriggan. Wendy on the other hand negated Irene's enchantments a few times and landed a solid hit on her.
