Luffy vs Caribou

Ok, Caribou is worth 200,000,000 beli, but 2 years ago when Luffy was considered a "rooky", he was at 300,000,000 and that was without the world knowing he defeated Gecko Moria. Now it's 2 years later after getting trained from the Dark King himself, his bounty has grown to 400,000,000 beli, he can dodge kizaru's beams, he can dodge a bullet at point blank range, he can use gear second on only his arms, use haki with his punches, beat down a PX-5 with a single punch (something that the whole crew had a hard time defeating), he can now punch logia users like Hancock and Rayleigh did, and he can knock out a whole crew just with a stare.

I admit, Caribou must be an ok fighter because he is a logia user and has a bounty of 200,000,000 higher than zoro's when he was part of the eleven supernovas. But if you compare Luffy now and Caribou, does it seem like a fair match? I'll be friken pissed off if Luffy has a hard time fighting Caribou. Luffy has just trained for 2 years with Rayleigh and is now able to fight Logias, also Luffy's old bounty was higher than Caribou's. I don't see how Luffy could struggle fighting Caribou. Actually, I want to see Chopper finish them off by himself. I don't think Caribou is worth Luffy's time, and the weakest member in his crew should be able to finish the whole crew off. I mean after all, they did train for 2 years in a land of their specialties. But from the looks of it, Oda made the ending so dramatic. Is he serious about Luffy having to fight Caribou and have a long tiring battle?

Who would win, Luffy vs Caribou?
or better yet, Straw Hats vs the Caribou pirates?

For me, I want Chopper to beat the **** out of everyone.

True. Luffy has done more by just defeating fodder level marines like what carribou does. He has beaten so many grand line and new world pirates, CP9 and high ranking marines. Carribou is trash and any strawhat member as of now would single handedly take out the whole damn crew of carribou

I won't underestimate Caribou and e Coribou. The two of them are worth 400 million, thus I expect them being of Law or Drake calibre.

I would say Luffy in Gear 2 can defeat one of them with not much problem. However Zoro or Sanji won't have that of an easy time with one of them in a 1x1 fight.

What needs to be realized is that Bounty's go higher based on atrocities. Kidd's bounty was higher than Luffy due to him attack civilians. Caribou is specifically known for killing Marines. Chances are that they never had someone like Smoker to pound them down a peg or ever be in a situation where where their life was at risk. Also a Logia fruit or certain Paramecia fruit user is pretty much invincible unless their weakness is discovered. If we are dealing with a Mud fruit, then Luffy can use Haki on it, Zoro can use his weird blue flame attack providing it is not just some purification flame stays cool, Sanji can kick him using his devil leg, Ussop can use his firebird star or his new improved version, Franky can use Fresh Fire or his improved attack, and Nami could electrocute him. The only problem is that they are fighting on a coated ship.

Of course atrocities increase a bounty. But to survive the entire Grand Line with such a bounty that one must be strong! Especially for someone who is know as "marine killer"

Kidd and Law are both famous for atrocoties. But they proved to be a lot strong too

Don't judge a book by it's cover is all i can say about the C-Bros why ? we are just seeing half of the picture and that half is all SH crew being stronger that anyone else every one has weakness like sanji seeing a sexy body will make him bleed like hell so what if C-bros crew can change their bodies they are made from mud so i can see them changing like becoming a beautiful girls

but for me SH will beat them not pawning the C-bros but just barely like SH Crew will have small injuries upon arriving the FI after defeating C-bros

For me it is a question whether the Cariboo can take a role like Buggy had after the defeat. Of comic relief and revenge plots.

i dont think caribou will play a big role. neither he nor his crew have been fleshed out to any degree. he's just a psycho, his brother's an idiot and their crew consists of identical looking fat guys

i hope luffy one shot's their entire ship and they drown

The biggest danger in this fight is that they're both underwater. Because of that, likely the SHs (and maybe the C-bros) won't fight at full strength. Still, the bros don't seem like a big threat...if a real battle happens, the biggest concern will probably be "how do we OHKO these guys without destroying the coating" rather than "how do we beat these guys period".

Caribou function on the manga is to show us that Logias can be defeated and that Luffy doesn't need to be scared of. So his destiny is to be crushed under Gomu Gomu No Pistol.

Barely defeating these guy's? that's such an insult. Kidd was notorious for killing marines when he was a rookie and still had higher bounty than Caribou. Also Luffy's bounty should've been higher at the time because he defeated Moria. Luffy 2 years ago had a higher bounty than caribou and should have been able to beat him. Now it's 2 years later and Luffy's stronger than ever. Luffy should be able to beat the Sh*t out of Caribou, and then make him his slave, and then slap him around a bit, make him wipe his butt with his hair, and then beat the sh*t out of him even more.

i think if anything it will be luffy's gang showcasing their new skills and for easy win. It would be such a bummer if after training for 2years they have a "bloody fight" against 2 rookies

I'd say that Caribou won't be sticking around for to long. Even if he trys to put up a front and join the crew Robin should have intel on him and let Luffy know he is a piece of trash. Once his cover is blown he will get beaten to oblivion by Luffy especially if he has no ability when it comes to haki. He will make a good example of what Luffy will do to Logia users from now on.

i'm worried about everyon else though. it's going to be a bit weak if zoro, sanjie, franky and even usopp cant take devil fruit users

they have to eventually surpass the likes of rayleigh and marco. that's going to be hard to swallow if they cant beat pussies like caribou/coribou after 2 years of training

I did not forget. If they were the same from 2 years ago, I would say I was uncertain of victory against two pirates with a bounty of Law or Drake calibre. Not to mention the problem Luffy used to have with Logia types
