Seriously, I think even Siu forgot about him. Remember guys when we used to argue if he is or isn't CC level? Now there seems to be no sign of him. He dissapeared like a bad chill. If you think we will ever get to see the man who was one punched by Kallavan again feel free to say so. I mean, what a waste of potential. Just like with the giant cobra. Now it was here, a second later it was gone. Don't get me wrong. I've spent nearly 10 years reading Tog, but even I think siu needs a holiday to get his shit together.

SIU made the point that lyborick was extremely strong even before he ever showed him fighting. IIRC he mentioned it in a blog post. It's only kallavan who wrongly guessed lyborick probably got his position using his family's influence.

That said, it's definiely true that SIU did not handle the traumerei portion of the nest arc particularly well. The implication would be that both kallavan and traumerei ended the arc just kneeling and doing nothing. Which would be lackluster even if lyborick had been shown. It's specially lackluster considering we did see quite a few people move around traumerei including perseus. It makes sense neither would target bam but it doesn't make sense they would let yama, karaka, YHS and doom just do whatever. Of course, in the end SIU needed the gang to escape and if lyborick and kallavan had acted in any way resembling rational in that specific circumstance then they probably wouldn't have managed it. Or SIU would have been forced to show full transformation yama now even though he clearly saved it for later.

In the end it's pretty clear that plot progression towards the end of the nest arc was far from organic.
