Some more info, nice. So there's units similar to Reg, one for each layer, and most are apparently already dead/gone. And Reg is the only one that can traverse the layers without problems.
And that last page, what's going on there? That's not Nanachi. Looking at those moving black shapes going towards her and her petting one of them, she could be one of those 3 sages mentioned that created the village.

The shadows or black shapes look really similar to Faputa when she's in her "shadow" mode..
In my opinion, she's a sort of fusion/embodiment ( as Reg said a few chapters back) of value,or multiple black shapes.
Furthermore, that great Sage looks rather friendly,I hope he'll stay like this '-'

I doubt it, this place seems like a prison ..why would a Sage be imprisonned here ?
(you can see sorta strings attached to her, as if it was sucking her life force, because of her appearence she look really worn out..)
Besides, Nanachi is "stuck" with probably one of the Sages who offered her " a Mitty", so she might have exchanged her own value for Mitty's..

About chapter 45, the woman wasn't one of the 3 sages but still one of the people involved with the creation of the village, but apparently opposed it at the end and ended up in that prison-like place. So I wasn't too far off about her, she was almost one of the sages.

Then the part with Nanachi. I had expected Maji Kajya to be evil, but he was very apologetic about leading Nanachi there. Still, never expected that this Mitty isn't a fake but the real one. And it's also confirmed Bondrewd visited the 6th layer several times. Interesting how the village can reproduce anything completely faithfully, even the soul. Isn't the village a god in a sense then?

Knowing how dark this series can get.. would Riko really give out both eyes, both legs or half of her internal organs? Would be a pretty awful sight to stomach...
It wouldn't kill her, but it's still really extreme. And I don't see her getting Nanachi back in any other way, unless they brute-force it with Reg. Out of these she may pick half her internal organs, since the other are invaluable for her to continue. Reg should be back in the village soon, maybe he arrives in time to stop her? Because I also don't see Riko just walking out on Nanachi and Mitty.

But, since the village is so almighty, even if Riko loses her eyes/legs she could get them back perfectly reproduced later.

I think it was related to her using the whistle/Prushka yes. It‘ll probably be explained how that works next chapter. It‘s possible Reg’s unit type reacts to the whistle in some way.

Where is that Golden City supposed to be? The 7th layer? Because if it is we need to know how Veko came back.

Ah, so I was right many chapters ago about Veko being one of the three sages. Or used to be one rather.

And the white whistle was what led Reg to Riko at the end of the previous chapter, seems very handy.
Not sure what to make of the last pages with Faputa, seems more messed up stuff is about to happen. Also confused about some things, like if Faputa is some "embodiment of value" goddess how is Nanachi as much worth as one of her limbs? Why was that even recommended to Riko as a possible option, has she given out limbs like that for some trades before?

Looks that way. Or the original of what we now know as Delvers. It looks like rag tag remnants of various nations formed the City of Oath at the Edge but Veko's team were the first non natives.

Pretty much, though those native folks that lived around the hole probably went down sometimes as well, how they learned of the curse. That tribe must've been killed by the first bigger group of people that discovered the Abyss and settled down on it, which led to that port-town surrounding the abyss from the start.

That child they picked up looks a bit like Faputa I think? Maybe had a much different change than any of the other Narehate that tried to go back up, so maybe that's why it's regardes as special?

Also, interesting that the compass is shown again. I always thought it's weird that it was kind of important at the start, but then quickly got dropped and lost in the abyss. Will maybe be more important later if they find it again? Also weird how it got into Riko's hands a long time after it was given to that tribe in exchange for info.

Idk, It wouldn't surprise me if the rest of the natives are on the 6th layer, or their descendants anyway. That Golden City may be inhabited after all.

Not sure. In the chapter before they said they encountered creatures on that layer that surpass humans as a species. Doubt any humans can live further down in the abyss, unless they are a white whistle.

Technically there shouldn't be such abundant life in the village either but there is, and we know so little about the 6th layer, since there is so little in depth information about it that reaches the surface, since White Whistles don't return from it.

Right, we still don't know everything about this village either. But it somehow has a mind of it's own. Would be surprised if they saw another village deeper into the abyss after this one. There's also still 2 white whistles missing Doing their own thing down there.

And then there's the Final Maelstrom, which should be so dangerous that it's a wonder how Lyza managed to send information back up from there at all. That is unless there's more down there than we know, which is a given. We're at a depth in the Abyss now that it's tricky to make sense of theories until we see what's there for ourselves.

Yeah this is a really exciting part of the story, ever since they descended to the 6th layer. Before they also discovered new places, but those were already known by many other delvers. Only after the Bondrewd arc did the exploring go up a level for me, since now we really are getting to the core pf the Abyss and a lot of mysteries will be getting solved.
Which is why waiting for new chapters is even harder
