I wasn't lurking. I was making + eating dinner, then watching the first episode of True Detective and latest of Mentalist. I'll be reading the thread now and catch up.

Your story is based on you and Kat, it's not like everyone knows of it as fact, it does have some logic, but pre-meditated things do sound logical since they are ... you know ... PLANNED.

It's a something of a theory you put out here so that everyone can buy ... the rest is up to the "suspicion" of the others on me, based again on Gary and his vicious attacks on me previously.

This sounds perfect to pick me as your scapegoat.

And sure, let them decide ...

I'm beginning to think that if Hardy is Mafia and we get him, that protecting me at night won't accomplish much. Assuming there's no third-party with killing power, it might be better for DD to protect someone like Kat who can verify someone's night action (as long as she doesn't speak for them before they say...)

Or is this too risky?

I considered this, too. However, I don't see why we need to take such a roundabout way. If you are killed, we skip the phase without learning Kat has to say and then she might die next, too. So, it feels like we are getting Mafia back into this one ourselves.
Of course, in the very best case, wizzard is telling the truth about being a Doctor, he protects you and we have more information at hand with no one dying. But still, meh, too risky, yeah.

Of course, I have like 8 votes on me and all I'm doing is saying the truth. I have a solid case on you, if they think I'm mafia they know I'll die anyway. If you and me are both townies then they kill Kat tomorrow.
