I owned and played both generation 3 and 4 (Ruby and Pearl). I hardly remember a single Pokémon from them. So forgettable.

Pokemon post gen 1 is as good as the intellectual level of the wording in the Twilight series.

I actually thought gen 2 was okay back when it came out. Because I read in Super PLAY magazine about all the new pokemon and I was like "OMG EVEN MORE POKEMON MÅSTE FÅNGA FLER!!!" and when I played it I was slightly disappointed but still mostly satisfied because there were still a lot of the original Pokémon in the game along with the (not yet god-awful looking) new ones.

Then came generation 3, with creatures that looked nothing like Pokémon, much too few of the original 150 left in the game, and the feeling that they will NEVER stop creating more and more of these fugly things...
