Thx for the support kat, but my case isn't the worse. If you look, i only host one game (and evil was the co-host) and the other game i was the co-host ended early {night one}). So if you think about it, Nii-chan case its more complicate than mine (for example). Other thing, if a host dont know how all the mecanic works, he is more susceptible to do a mistake. Yes, there are things you can question but no system is perfect fair too. The best i can do is try again and try to learn more (if i want to)

Uh, yeah. I have some issues with this test, to be honest. There was a question or two where the answer isn't obviously known to anyone who hasn't host before. Meaning, it's basically whatever Evil says and then everyone else follows suit. Especially since he's mentored all of the other people who have hosted since him. The procedure isn't clear enough on the forums.

Especially since he's mentored all of the other people who have hosted since him. The procedure isn't clear enough on the forums.

What's your point? I'm just speaking from my perspective. I've played more games than you have, and the information still isn't obvious to me. That's the point of someone mentoring new hosts in the first place, whether you ace this test or not. Is that going to change because of this test? Are you going to be able to host your first game solo because you passed? What's the point of this test in the first place if nothing changes there?

Well, your perspective is failed the moment you say ¨There was a question or two where the answer isn't obviously known to anyone who hasn't host before¨. I guess that if I did it, without hosting once, it should be possible for everyone else. The answers don't have to be obvious, otw what's the point of the test in the first place.

And I dunno how things are going to be handled after this, I don't plan hosting any time soon. I don't really feel like I need a full time co-host at all though, maybe there's some preparative stuff that isn't in the test that I should know. Maybe there isn't.

Well propably not, hardy if he host will be with a co-host (at least i think). The difference now is that not everyone can do that, only few members. But i get your point, i agree on parts, dont want to talk about the test, but yeah , there is some rules which could be more clear

No, that's completely true. But the point is we have people to consult and guide us as first-time hosts. And I don't think acing this test is going to change that at all. So why is the criteria for passing so harsh? I guess it's because of other people's fuck-ups and it resulting in games being ruined.

I mean, Mido failed it, and he's already hosted and did a pretty good job. If Mido said "screw you guys" and decided to host a game tomorrow, would people be hesitant to sign up because of the result of this test? I don't think so.

Because some people failed hard even with co-hosts and 3 games (IIRC) had to be stopped.

And before people get pissy with me, I did this test on a lark. I'm not really interested in hosting, but people have mentioned my name before so I wanted to see if I made the grade or not. My issue is with a few of the questions and the criteria for passing (of which, I'm not even sure. 18/20 is a fail, but 19.5/20 is pass...uh ok).

I edited my post. The reason is obvious, but this assessment is pretty flawed when someone deemed a "good" host fails, and you pass, when only 1.5 points separate you.
