So if you see a role introduced 6 games ago, you're gonna ask for a re-do cause you missed the application of the new role? This is a bad rule, regardless.
I haven't played since like Game 30, so I missed the application of this new rule.

I'm saying that you, as the host, had undue influence on the result by making an error like that with so little time to go. If this locked nonsense hadn't existed, there would have been another update, the phase could have been extended if need be, no confusion at all.Who did that? Why is an error that lasted 3 mins so important anyway, when there were other 10 mins left?
It ain't confusing if you know the rules. The votes have the same value as always, it's just that locked votes are more important now.
Tied votes are for extending the phase, it's a STRATEGY. It isn't like we went 6 more hours because no one wanted to break the tie. The Phase wasn't even formally extended!Result: I join the old people. So what happened was, basically some already figured it out on their own, Hardy misplaced 3c's vote. which was irritating, that's true. A fresh vote up date should have been make to clear it, not editing the previous post.
Josef's vote got removed from gnut, because of Josef passing (no active player anymore). That tied gnut with xi0, both having 5 votes. xi0 having more locks, two to one, thus he got lynched.
Unfortunately Nico did nor post nor vote, thus he got host killed.
design getting a penalty vote next turn for not voting.
/end day two![]()

Tying the vote at the last moment is a power play, you can do it to try and save someone. Why would you remove that aspect of the game completely? It makes no sense.Well it's better than people keep dragging the phase in the last minutes, after doing nothing for hours...
How is a role the same as a rule that makes the deadline completely finite and unextendable? So if you see a role introduced 6 games ago, you're gonna ask for a re-do cause you missed the application of the new role?
While this is true that I somehow influenced it, there was still time for people to vote/do wtv they wanted, as it happenned.I'm saying that you, as the host, had undue influence on the result by making an error like that with so little time to go. No, that means they don't have the same value at all!Tied votes are for extending the phase, it's a STRATEGY. It isn't like we went 6 more hours because no one wanted to break the tie. The Phase wasn't even formally extended!
Now let it restWhy keep it when people can try to keep themselves safe, and keep others safe, during the regular day phase? Why count on an extension? That's a matter of opinion, people might prefer it or not, but the important part is that it the rule ain't new... Anyway, I'm out, that's not my business and I don't wanna add wood to the fire when I might be saying bs xPTying the vote at the last moment is a power play, you can do it to try and save someone. I don't understand what precipitated the rule change in the first place. I've played a ton of games here and I can't recall being annoyed or game-quality suffering because of infinite day-phases getting extended because no one was willing to break the tie...am I forgetting something? While this is true that I somehow influenced it, there was still time for people to vote/do wtv they wanted, as it happenned.
You can still tie it, with locked votes. However, it's true that it makes everything a little harder this way, maybe that rule should only be used after a time extension?
Again, it wouldn't be confusing if you had actually known the rules, can't blame me for something like that, lol.
You can still tied the game, if both have the same lock votes. Its more risky now, and that rule was kinda old... but nobody used it that way.Tying the vote at the last moment is a power play, you can do it to try and save someone. I'm not asking for a redo, I'm not going to fuck the game up for others. But this rule is super flawed because of this exact situation.
Last time I checked, this thread was for discussing the game as a whole, including rules. Thanks gary, you provided enough salt for the hard-boiled eggs I made some time agoNow let it rest
Not count on it, but at least it's an option? Why keep it when people can try to keep themselves safe, and keep others safe, during the regular day phase? Why count on an extension? Yeah but then you have people who might be hesitant to switch their vote because it "locks" it and counts more than their first vote. Sorry, that's just awkward. I'd rather pray to RNGesus and flip a coin than be killed because of locked votes. You can still tied the game, if both have the same lock votes. Well i think its better than coins, but i will agree with you that all ties could have at least 1 hour extra *because votes can be a lot of confuse*Last time I checked, this thread was for discussing the game as a whole, including rules.

Whether the rule is new or not has nothing to do with what I'm saying...I missed/forgot it, I already admitted that.

That's your opinion. For instance I find the coin flip as tie breaker VERY unfair and especially dying because of it would be for me as a player not satisfying.Yeah but then you have people who might be hesitant to switch their vote because it "locks" it and counts more than their first vote. Fair enough, maybe it can be overdone in theory (I've don't remember it happening, like I said before). But allowing no extension at all due to tied votes is changing the game too much IMO.I agree with Farfalla and Mido. Seeing your point xi0, but everyone knows that they have to vote within a given time. The time limit is set at the very beginning, and power playing in the last moment is not really healthy for the game play.
Not only that depending on when the end is, some players have not even the chance to participate in it.
Meh, maybe it's hyperbolic. My point is that that didn't bother me as much as a scenario where there are no extensions at all. Probably because it never came to that iirc. Not going to insist on a coinflip being ideal either. That's your opinion. For instance I find the coin flip as tie breaker VERY unfair and especially dying because of it would be for me as a player not satisfying.
It's pure luck, it does not consider any qualities of players, to make others change their votes. Coinflip is just a dry percentage, and I find it unfair.
OMG I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You didn't notice this until just now? I thought you purposely misspelled it or something.OMG I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!
