I‘ve been told that several people are planning to host games, so to avoid any problems like people cutting into each other‘s game signups and other things we may need a schedule of games.
For anyone who plans to host a game, you can either write in this thread for what month/day you‘re planning a game or edit it in the schedule yourself if you can.
Note that there‘s no limit to how many games can be had per month, but try not to have 2 games running at the same time.
Sign-ups!
To everyone who usually plays MG or those that don‘t want to miss signups, we‘re testing a new way to alert everyone to a new game instead of mass tags before each game.
All you have to do is go to>>this thread<<and press Watch on the top corner of the thread. I or a host will post there and notify everyone like this whenever a new game starts.
While hosting overall isn't necessarily hard, it's very easy to mess things up as we have seen plenty of times already. This naturally happens more often with newer hosts.
In order to get these new hosts familiar with how the game works behind the scenes and make it a smoother experience for everyone (no one wants a cancelled game!), we are establishing these sets of rules that follow the methods that have been used in the last 50 games:
-If it's your first time hosting, it's MANDATORY to have the help of someone that has hosted before. As long as they aren't banned, it doesn't matter if this person hosted twenty times or just once. This experienced host will be the "Main Host", while the new one assumes the role of "co-host".
-Tasks will be split in a rather equal manner so that the Main Host can keep things in check while the Co-host gets hands-on experience to learn properly.
-The Main Host has the final say when it comes to decisions (ideally, this won't need to be enforced heavily, it's mostly to avoid possible issues).
Once the game is over, the co-host can host on their own and even take the role of "experienced host" for a new host in need!
it's difficult to do, since the game is in the middle of holiday season, and there's been this long break, which screwed my whole initial time plan up, so it's not really anyone's fault, since people have made other plans and shit.
you on the other hand gonna get a brand new shame entry for your host PMs. fake or not, what ever gave you the impression it's ok to do that?
Well others were pressuring him into showing the PM, and he didn't quote directly or anything, so can't you be a bit milder? If everyone is saying 'do this', and no one steps in with 'this is now allowed, even if fake', he could have very well thought what he was doing was like borderline o k
its not his first game. and yes i saw the coercing behaviour of players like Kat, who yet again did the same thing with gry, then all of a sudden was all 'moral' and surprised that he posted it. i'll gon check if her actions are against the rules too, or if there possibly need to be an extention to them for certain cases
First of all, Farfalla was the one forcing Lulu into showing his pm first. Secondly, I didn't ask anybody to *quote* their pms and didn't think that writing the pm was against the rules. I mean why would it be? Since it could be made up like Lulu did. So it's not like it shows us that they are townies or not. It's also up to us how we found out his pm was fake. If you consider my actions against the rules then lol
And what about me? I kinda did the same thing he did, but I plead not guilty. It was beyond aggravating watching lawl fake the PM in such an obvious manner. His attempt did backfire on him though, so that's maybe punishment enough?
It just blows my mind how anyone can use this argument here. What is the difference between writing the PM content with or without QUOTE and /QUOTE tags? You make it sound like adding two tags is the same as posting a screenshot.
Well quote kinda shows that you really did get the pm while if you rewrite it you have no proof. Although you could fake the quote too as well so I guess its the same

Quoting is verbatim. You're basically showing us exactly what was sent. It's not just about the quote tag I think. You're just supposed to say the results. It's the same thing with claiming a role instead of quoting the line that the host says your role
Honestly I do not think this is so big deal, both gry and lawl didn't post screenshot and even if that was against the rules, none of us knew about it so pls this time forgive them evil
Wait wait I didnt quote anything but i just put it in spoiler tags i believe? it was drygry who quoted. But yeah this game borth Kat(she started) and Farfalla were pushing me really hard into revealing. I wonder if it was their objective to get me banned
I also thought there would be penalty votes, but apparently the point decrease thing replaced that, along with evil putting people in the wall of shame afterwards that is.
