Scheduling

I‘ve been told that several people are planning to host games, so to avoid any problems like people cutting into each other‘s game signups and other things we may need a schedule of games.

For anyone who plans to host a game, you can either write in this thread for what month/day you‘re planning a game or edit it in the schedule yourself if you can.

Note that there‘s no limit to how many games can be had per month, but try not to have 2 games running at the same time.

Sign-ups!

To everyone who usually plays MG or those that don‘t want to miss signups, we‘re testing a new way to alert everyone to a new game instead of mass tags before each game.

All you have to do is go to >>this thread<< and press Watch on the top corner of the thread. I or a host will post there and notify everyone like this whenever a new game starts.

While hosting overall isn't necessarily hard, it's very easy to mess things up as we have seen plenty of times already. This naturally happens more often with newer hosts.

In order to get these new hosts familiar with how the game works behind the scenes and make it a smoother experience for everyone (no one wants a cancelled game!), we are establishing these sets of rules that follow the methods that have been used in the last 50 games:

-If it's your first time hosting, it's MANDATORY to have the help of someone that has hosted before. As long as they aren't banned, it doesn't matter if this person hosted twenty times or just once. This experienced host will be the "Main Host", while the new one assumes the role of "co-host".
-Tasks will be split in a rather equal manner so that the Main Host can keep things in check while the Co-host gets hands-on experience to learn properly.
-The Main Host has the final say when it comes to decisions (ideally, this won't need to be enforced heavily, it's mostly to avoid possible issues).

Once the game is over, the co-host can host on their own and even take the role of "experienced host" for a new host in need!

True that, though in one of those slots Sophie and Shigure ended up together and since those two would be our kids...well, incest is wincest. :P

You mean as a game system on its own in Mafia or perhaps as a role called Amor? About the heart system, the Host would have to play the role as Amor and there would have to be some sorta day-night system where you can use different actions to woe somebody else to get more and more hearts with that person. The idea is that the higher the heart level you get the more you you know about that person or the more actions do you free up which can be used to win the game for your faction. Like an ultimate ofc would be for a Mafia who managed to get to 5 hearts with a townie to turncoat that townie into a Mafia member or something like that.

Sounds like Fire Emblem got tons of ships though I bet AzuraxAvatar if far more popular given how high Azura ranks in the favorite fire emblem females ranking. Wasn't she even first there? At least it were Top5, that I know for sure.

There's so many that it's a fleet.

Depends which ranking you're looking at, there's several. I wouldn't say she's exactly #1 but overall the top spots of female characters are between her, Camilla, FCorrin and Oboro.

This match inspired me to make a new role in the Suggestion thread and rework the Mafia Gambler a little more. Check them out and give me your Input on them whenever you like to see/play them in future matches.

It's taking me a lot of mental strength to not write you a detailed 10-page answer.

There's actually a 3rd dlc game too, Revelation(though you can't play it without buying either Birthright or Conquest), and I've played all 3. I first played Birthright, then Conquest and then Revelation, and I liked Conquest more by far. None of them is really just outright better than the others, which one you will like the most depends on many things.

The differences between them are...basically everything apart from the basic gameplay. The games all have a different story, characters, chapters, soundtrack, classes, skills... The best way to decide is to pick whether you like the Nohrian or Hoshidan royal family more, as they're the main story characters and go from there.
In Conquest you join the Nohrian family and fight against Hoshido, while in Birthright you join the Hoshidan family and fight against Nohr. The most emotional part is if you buy both games and when you play the second game and have to fight all the characters you know and love from the first game.
Birthright is difficulty-wise more similar to Awakening, while Conquest is more difficult(but then again you can just play on Normal difficulty which is super easy so the difficulty can be negated if it's too hard for you). Both games have an equally good and unique cast of characters. Soundtrack is awesome in both. The story in Birthright many claim is better than the story in Conquest, though I liked the Conquest story more. Both games are fun and unique.

The first 5 introduction-chapters are the same in all games, while in Chapter 6 onwards til the end in Chapter 27 is the game you got. So you could watch those first 5 chapters somewhere since they show you both countries and families and it helps you decide which to take, OR otherwise read about the royal characters, trailers etc. to see which you like more. But both are great games so it's impossible to go wrong, though I like Conquest the most.

Yeah, Hardy did some searching and suggested me to also play that order xD So I might buy the physical version of Birthright, then the digital version of Conquest after and then the DLC. So hard to find the Birthright game for a good price tho ;-; did some checks in the local communities and no luck.

Finding it cheaper is gonna be hard since the games are still rather new and valuable, I hope you find a good price. It's good to hear that you'll be getting them, they're much better than Awakening imo, at the very least gameplay wise.

Sooo that means I can't use any too spoiler-ish imagery this game, hm..
