I‘ve been told that several people are planning to host games, so to avoid any problems like people cutting into each other‘s game signups and other things we may need a schedule of games.
For anyone who plans to host a game, you can either write in this thread for what month/day you‘re planning a game or edit it in the schedule yourself if you can.
Note that there‘s no limit to how many games can be had per month, but try not to have 2 games running at the same time.
Sign-ups!
To everyone who usually plays MG or those that don‘t want to miss signups, we‘re testing a new way to alert everyone to a new game instead of mass tags before each game.
All you have to do is go to>>this thread<<and press Watch on the top corner of the thread. I or a host will post there and notify everyone like this whenever a new game starts.
While hosting overall isn't necessarily hard, it's very easy to mess things up as we have seen plenty of times already. This naturally happens more often with newer hosts.
In order to get these new hosts familiar with how the game works behind the scenes and make it a smoother experience for everyone (no one wants a cancelled game!), we are establishing these sets of rules that follow the methods that have been used in the last 50 games:
-If it's your first time hosting, it's MANDATORY to have the help of someone that has hosted before. As long as they aren't banned, it doesn't matter if this person hosted twenty times or just once. This experienced host will be the "Main Host", while the new one assumes the role of "co-host".
-Tasks will be split in a rather equal manner so that the Main Host can keep things in check while the Co-host gets hands-on experience to learn properly.
-The Main Host has the final say when it comes to decisions (ideally, this won't need to be enforced heavily, it's mostly to avoid possible issues).
Once the game is over, the co-host can host on their own and even take the role of "experienced host" for a new host in need!
@James Rye Thanks for the answer and tips (though it was not allowed apparently, my bad).
Yeah i'll read everything, i just didn't have the time to do it yet. I was ready to start the game today, but unexpected events today, busy day, so i came pretty late to the party and only had little time to participate. So yeah, i haven't had the time to read everything, but i will !
@GrySun Sorry, i didn't know it was not allowed. Won't do it again i swear
I wrote the hosts a pm regarding the Shuffler as I think he is too much of a game changer, shuffling the roles of everybody even mafia and 3rd party is like resetting the game to day 1 and after days playing that could be pretty darn disheartening. It seems they liked the change, so with it the Shuffler will still has an effect to the game without breaking it. Basically now he can shuffle like 3 random townies after his death and those three townies can use that shuffle to find themselves in the day talks (as everybody knows three people got their roles shuffled) and prove the other one who got their job and thus create a first base of 3 proven townies to build up a townie stronghold.
I hope that change is okay and you guys are okay with that suggestion.
Yep, we accepted James suggestion, so guys, we changed the description of the shuffler (on the opening post, please check when you have time) to avoid too much chaos on the game and turn the role more acceptable for this game.

I get why the Shuffler would suck, but that's also what makes the role so fucking amazing! It's a game-changer (literally), and while it might be disheartening to the (probably confident) winning team, it's fucking glorious for the losing team, the people not happy with their roles, spectators and more.
I'm okay for having a Shuffler or a watered-down version, or any variation we can think of.

Hm, are you sure though? Don't get me wrong, I don't like the Shuffler, but it is still a role you twowanted to have in the game. You knew what the role does and that it would be chaotic before you decided to put it in. You shouldn't second guess yourselves just because of negative feedback imo. Including new roles like that out of nowhere wasn't a legit thing to do in the first place, so you might as well have rolled with it But all up to you guys.
The change could also end up worse in different ways.
I can't believe the MC was the mafia boss and most importantly then that it was a red mafia like ruby .... wow. @Demonspeed great job there now my suspension about you is down but I still have my eyes on you
