Scheduling

I‘ve been told that several people are planning to host games, so to avoid any problems like people cutting into each other‘s game signups and other things we may need a schedule of games.

For anyone who plans to host a game, you can either write in this thread for what month/day you‘re planning a game or edit it in the schedule yourself if you can.

Note that there‘s no limit to how many games can be had per month, but try not to have 2 games running at the same time.

Sign-ups!

To everyone who usually plays MG or those that don‘t want to miss signups, we‘re testing a new way to alert everyone to a new game instead of mass tags before each game.

All you have to do is go to >>this thread<< and press Watch on the top corner of the thread. I or a host will post there and notify everyone like this whenever a new game starts.

MG Scheduling

[Original Post]

While hosting overall isn't necessarily hard, it's very easy to mess things up as we have seen plenty of times already. This naturally happens more often with newer hosts.

In order to get these new hosts familiar with how the game works behind the scenes and make it a smoother experience for everyone (no one wants a cancelled game!), we are establishing these sets of rules that follow the methods that have been used in the last 50 games:

-If it's your first time hosting, it's MANDATORY to have the help of someone that has hosted before. As long as they aren't banned, it doesn't matter if this person hosted twenty times or just once. This experienced host will be the "Main Host", while the new one assumes the role of "co-host".
-Tasks will be split in a rather equal manner so that the Main Host can keep things in check while the Co-host gets hands-on experience to learn properly.
-The Main Host has the final say when it comes to decisions (ideally, this won't need to be enforced heavily, it's mostly to avoid possible issues).

Once the game is over, the co-host can host on their own and even take the role of "experienced host" for a new host in need!

I initially planned either DGM or another theme, then I changed my mind midway, I'm currently hesitating between 2 others, nothing is set, yet. it was in my mind depending on the number of players. But if you want Dgm theme you can go ahead., its fine, BUT on the only condition Marian is for noone but me :blush

It's been quite a busy week, which is why I haven't had the opportunity to sit down and write properly.

but I really wanted to thank everyone for the warm welcomes. it's been a really nice game and a nice welcoming community. :grin2

I mean, to be fair, the only names I didn't like were the ones that used the letter C instead of K, I hate the letter C, it's okay, call me kakao. I love chocolate, but cacao uses C, and that letter is a sad letter hahah XDD

And @Asako, I've already thanked you IRL, but I feel it's necessary to give you a proper thanks here as well. Thank you @Asako for sharing this with me. I really liked the make believe game we did N1 to pretend we're mafias. let's hope next time it lasts longer

Late to the review season so will say it here.

Thanks @SirSamuel016 and @Copy Panda for the great game, mechanic was really cool and line up was excellent. It was my pleasure to sub and play for a change, kinda miss this game after all :hi

My only regret was having the run end so suddenly, a mix of misfortune and tunnel visioning, but Townies will learn from it Im sure... They possibly will...

I dont agree with the sentiment of Mafia being too lax about how they played, its the Townies responsibility to call out that kind of behaviour and not let it slide, thats how you promote scummy profiles to participate.
Congrats mafos, you didnt do anything impressive but if that was enough to win then you clearly did what was required of the situation, townies will have to play better if they ever want to win again.

Good to see and play with both unusual and new faces too, hope to see you around for future rounds. :nod

I love Gintama but I juat know I would do terribly if I tried to play mafia again at this point.. always so little time, plus everyone has developed such efficient ways to play over the years, I would be totally out of my depth I think. :sweat
