What is in store for Marco, post Wano arc?

I think there are several routes that Oda can take with this character.

There is a decent chance that the next destination of Strawhats is Sphinx island, where Marco is currently staying, waiting for Weevil to show up.
So, we might get to see him soon. SHs might interact with Marco, Weevil etc. Luffy may visit Ace's and WB's grave as well.

I think he'll just be left behind. I don't think he'll die but he's left piracy behind.

I think Marco as an individual will be an ally in the future against the WG. I don't think the WB pirates will be back together in any form so I don't expect Marco to be a captain or active pirate again. The way I see Marco now is the way I see Rayleigh, a retired pirate who will circumstantially be an ally. I think other former WB pirates like Jozu & Vista may end up doing the same (in the same vain as Izo in Wano) without being under any particular pirate flag.

On a very different route, it is possible that Weevil kills Marco since he's done that to 16 other captains that were allied in the past. However, Weevil's childish mentality makes him a more likely convert that could be a Luffy ally in the future. Since this is the outcome I personally think will happen, I can't see Weevil killing Marco since Luffy would never forgive that.

I don't think he'll die but I can see him losing to Weevil. I'd rather not see him as an ally for the final battle. The Wano arc was the best one for this. I would prefer to see other characters with less panel time shine there.

I vote him getting killed by Weevil cause it kinda makes sense and gives Luffy a good reason to trash him

I think there is a decent change that we might see the crew back again, obviously with nowhere near the prowess it once had, since they lost quite a lot of prowess in Marineford and Payback war (plus Weevil hunting down the scattered WB crew since payback war).
But a crew with some of their former commanders? I can see that happening.

If there is anything that can get the WB crew back together, will be the opportunity for vengeance against Blackbeard.

If they reach Sphinx island right now then sure he will be around for a short arc and possibly be defeated by Weevil but that's it. I don't think he'll die but I think he'll be left behind right there and then. Like any other strong-for-their-time characters like Wiper, Kyros or whoever else.

It's definitely possible that the crew will reform in some form or another, led by Marco. I just have my doubts that they will formally be back as a group vs them just working together to help take down Blackbeard during a singular event. For example, post the main story ending I don't see the WB pirates in any form existing as a group. I think they will be the same as former Roger & Rocks pirates, with the old crew scattered around and each person doing their own thing.

This would actually be pretty cool if it happened. Who knows what kind of powers this would unlock since Marco already seems to be able to do so much (if he isn't awakened already).
