It was rather.....messy? Most of the time I had the feeling something was missing...too bad Kishimoto had to squeeze 130 pages into 50 pages.

Anyway, I really enjoyed it. Kishi should really go for seinen after Naruto.

Well it only felt that way because he had too much of a story to tell, and I actually liked it. So in that respect, it was rushed in a legitimate way since we know his writing style in Naruto is certainly not so jumpy.

But really, i wish he would have drawn the whole thing. It would be even better.

Was really interesting, especially for something Kishi came up with. It did appear to be rushed/missing something, but that really didn't take away from the overall story that much.

I hope, Kishimoto does this after Naruto or at least, comes up with something just as good. Great one-shot, better than his last one, Bench.

For once Kishi actually drew good looking females. Good job!

I really liked the different feel in this one shot, compared to Naruto. I'm actually surprised at the amount of shootings and visible bullet entrances into people's heads. You could tell by the "sloppy story pace" that Kishi had a lot of story to tell on very few pages.

That's not entirely correct. He drew the rough draft 15 years ago and only now actually turned it into a complete manuscript because he was asked to make a one-shot in SQ.

I think "Mama's Boy' or "Libra" is a better title for this manga.

Am I the only one thinking Kishi could become the next Inoue?? A Jump mangaka who goes on to be successful in Seinen as well. If this one-shot does get serialized when Naruto ends, I could see it as the next big thing in seinen.

Kishi is not good enough. He is good at creating characters but inoue is a better artist and story teller.

Wow, a mobster manga about actual mobsters { .......... I am shocked. Probably the best one shot I've read in recent times. Ofcourcse it was a bit choppy because of page limitations but I think it did a good enough job of both giving me a basic idea of what the story is about and also arousing my interest enough to want to read this if it were an actual series. Good job Kishi........

Whilst I'm not the biggest fan of Naruto or Kishi as a writer I wouldn't go out of my way to say Kishi isn't good enough or even to say that he can't accomplish something of greater value if he stepped up to the challenge of doing seinen. You never know, perhaps seinen turns out to be Kishi's actual strong suit.

I recall that this work was what he was more interested in doing. It's been such a long time so I can't recall the details. The details might be buried in MH.
