Discussion Minato + his Kyuubi half

From what I understand he sealed half of nine tails few seconds before he died. And now he just talks to Kyuubi like his bud, getting chakra from him etc, while Naruto needed years to master it.

How come Minato controlls his Kyuubi half so well?
