So, who is Minato anyway...?
Bloodline..? Origin..? Clan..? History..?

What is known about Minato Namikaze
Minato has proven that he has a large amount of chakra, for one, he seemingly learned to summon Gamabunta (Toad boss) in his youth and made Gamabunta accept him, unlike Naruto who had to rely on the Kyuubi's chakra, although Minato was probably a bit older. Also Minato managed to teleport the Kyuubi in it's full strength with his Flying Thunder God technique.
Should be included that he also had contact with other Toads, obviously, and perhaps he also learned the Sage arts to some level.
Yellow Flash, the Flying Thunder God technique, goes without saying, purely fantastically unique and one of a kind. Minato also has amazing reflexes, as stated by A (Raikage), he is not faster than Raikai through teleportation, but faster than Raikage in reflexes.
Argueably, being close to instant in speed and instant doesn't make much of a difference for any humans anyway, so in theory, they were nearly same "speed" and it came down to reflexes.
He can cancel a summoned contract by touching the user. He did it to Madara against the Kyuubi, but arguably it's a question whether it works against, lets say, the Toads, as they're helping on their free will.
Possibly, he could pretty fast trouble a Rinnegan user cancelling all the summons contracts since they're connected through Rinnegan (eye vision), that's pretty badass.
Minato was said to be a true genius, one rarely appears, generally one every generation.
The sheer top tuned reflexes Minato display show that he's mentally quick, both to realize a situation very fast but also adopting to situation very fast.
It seems he takes little effort to realize how techniques works when he sees them, and is a philosophical type of person, much like Itachi if you like.
Minato's quick mind makes him overall a very intelligent person, when he seemingly with little effort keeps questioning and looking for answers in whatever puzzles him (seen a couple of times in the manga).
He also enjoy reading.
RASENGAN - Do I even need to describe it...?
Rasengan was an unfinished project that Minato created by observing the tailed beast bijou ball.
The base structure, Rasengan, was meant to be applied with nature elements, like Naruto did with wind element, essentially finishing what Minato had started.
Minato Namikaze, the family name (Namikaze - wavewind) seems to suggest that they're attuned to the wind element, thus and possibly, the exact jutsu Naruto finished is what Minato had in mind from the very beginning.
Like Sandaime, Jiraiya, Kushina, Orichimaru and possibly Tsunade, Yondaime (Minato) had knowledge in the sealing jutsu's of the Uzumaki clan.
The Uzumaki clan was very tight with Senju, and thus Konoha as well, seemingly, only trusted members of Konoha were taught these jutsu's in order to keep these secret jutsu's within the walls of Konoha.
However, Orochimaru deflected and possibly, eventually in danger of being adopted by other villages.
These sealing jutsu's can be really handy, especially when using the Shinigami God as a final jutsu, or when making special seals, example to restrain the Kyuubi.
The jutsu's are said to be extremely powerful, and thus, the seal on Naruto's stomach is likely more powerful than those on other Jinchiruki.
The fact that he uses kunais very precisely is undeniable, however if he reaches a skill level like Itachi with kunais is questionable, possibly, the sharingan gives a big advantage.
Excluding the advantage of sharingan, possibly, Minato would reach a close to top level in using kunais. (speciality - Flying Thunder God technique).
I might have missed something, and you're completely free to correct me for errors, but please bring the facts instead of just saying said facts are wrong.

Have we really seen everything to Minato...? Like, we'll learn more about him and his abilities when the time comes for Naruto to surpass him..? (as an overall ninja, not only in speed).
Could Minato be related to the Senju somewhere down the line, considering his large chakra..?
Seemingly, Namikaze is one of the few clans in Konoha we haven't heard about yet, is there a good reason for this...? Will it be revealed with a bang..?
or is Minato truly just of a common family...?
