And I think that if Nii-chan wanted the punishment to be sets, then he should be able to say so. Fuck what he said in the first post, he's the dictator host and can do whatever he wants!

If NN really wants to make it sets, it can be sets. However, you're supposed to be aware of things beforehand. The reason that I didn't mention it until after the tournament began was that I had checked what NN had copied over, and I didn't want to lose my SAO sig, so...

Technically, that's not true. NN gave us a ruling, then was shown to have put something up in error, and technically, he could be forced to stick to that. We all agreed already that it was fine to have sets anyway, as that is what NN intended and we all expected, but there's no harm in some fun debating about the legitimacy of that, now is there?

Gary, there's a reason people need to stick to their words, which in this case is essentially a contract with the players. If someone is unable to communicate something properly the first time, but then wants to change something midstream because of the previous error, that's not how a game works.

Fine. But I'm saying the same rules have been used previously and it was up to the host to decide either way. Regardless of whether state before the game or not. It's a simple game, there's no confusion from rules being changed. You were submitting to wearing something embarrassing either way.

The actual wording of the rules is important . Especially in cases where there are new players joining (which as far as im aware is something that is being promoted right?). Its okay if everyone who plays the game from now to infinity understands the precedent, but its unfair to someone who newly joins the games, reads the rules but then has the whole punishment changed on them mid-game because the previous games were like that. This is not actually because I mind wearing the sets nor avys I just dont want the concept of "forget the written rules we did it that way before" to become a precedent in the FF games. Its unfair. What is written should always be what is followed.
