The fact is, when Laxus is engage in a duel, there is always extrapolation on his power level. Raw power is not all. You have to take account on versatility, psychology, circumstances of a battle....

In berserker mode, Laxus is strong enough to kill Mirajane, and I am not sure he needed RL for that. But he should use it to an opponent he should see as an ennemy he has to face against to protect the Guild.

Vs Mirajane, a friend, I do not see him trying to put all his lethal might. In that so, I see Mirajane potentially dodge him, blitz him in some instance and probably hurt him as he stayed in his classic lightning or clearly hold back the might of his RL. I think Mirajane can put a resistance and manage to injure him while he is holding back his true power. His stamina and durability are far above Mira's, so yes, he should win but after a hard battle.

A battle is about mind : fighting an ennemy who menace the Guild ? A friend in a duel ?
The power used about circumstances is not the same : see Natsu as exemple. Do you see Natsu using Purgatory Dragon Force Ougi against a friend ?

Replace Erza by Gildarts vs RL Laxus : do you think Gildarts should not have handicap, facing a friend who is nearly his power level, while his destructive magic is about the most lethal one ? If Gildarts fall before Laxus, should you see Laxus as the strongest one ? What about circumstances of the battle and handicaps ?

- In Duel, I see Laxus winning but with some Mirajane's resistance who should manage to give him a hard fight.
- As both berserker, I see Laxus killing her : too powerful and too strong.

No, Laxus is not stronger than Erza + Mirajane. Both women are really strong and if they team up, they can bypass him.

And still, Laxus is not as strong as Eileen. Eileen was playing with Erza and even when her rage grews up, she was still holding back because in her heart, she still loved her daughter. Eileen could destroy her anytime, even before Erza rised her power by PoF. She can do the same with Laxus, and she should not held back her strength against him (not relative with him). Laxus gave all in his fight vs Erza where Erza, with far PoF amp, only could injure her. Eileen was clearly stronger than a climax version of Erza, a far stronger version than she was while facing Laxus, a strong friend.

Laxus is really strong, one of the strongest of the Guild, but not invincible. I see Erza around his level and I know we disagree (it's ok), and I still see Eileen, August and Gildarts above them for now. I do not speak about PoF and God Dragons.

Finally, an Erza fan who gets it. Mighty Laxus wins. His super genes cannot be rival by those like Erza, her mother(Dragon physiology thanks to the power she burrowed(begged) from Belserion), and Mira as well. In the near future, those three put together will not rival him. . He hasn't yet surpassed the August level still who is above Irene for tanking POF Gildarts attacks. He will not rival Acnologia. Acnologia > (Spirggan 12 + Zeref). Rivaling three fodders isn't equal to the Acnologia level.

Not this again. You don't drop a meteor on your child's and expect us to believe she was holding back. Her feelings for Erza started to resurface when she saw her smile. This was after Erza destroyed her meteor. She was actively trying to kill her before that moment. Irene is not one-shotting Laxus. You think Mashima will ever write Laxus to be no diff from an opponent or low diff. I'd love to see that.
