here are some art tutorial blogs with some great stuff!

and for figure studies there's pixelovely, lovecastle and posemaniacs
but most importantly just be observant all the time! find your favorite artists and emulate the best parts of their work; liiike the way they render skin tones and fabric, express their lines etc

here's gon for you!
i basically re-drew togashi's panel and tried to add more intensity to it but i failed sorry!! i hope you like it anyways

the way gon's eyes go dark when he's determined is just plain scary. usually eyes light up with firey determination right?! but gon is just.. wow terrifying, especially in the chimera ant arc! he becomes blind to everything else

That was... AWESOME! Loved Gon's eyes, you nailed his "you pissed me off" look. I don't have much else to comment on, everything is jus perfect. Thanks a lor for doing it!

I know it's getting repetitive by now, but Gon's artwork is just plain amazing ;D
If you just got a greater resolution of the whole image, it would turn into an really nice wallpaper I think ^^

Man this is all friggin amazing! I'm curious though did you paint these or what? what kind of coloring tools did you use? help a fellow artist out! *I can't draw as good as you but I'm working on it*

Out of curiosity, how long does it take for you to draw?

Jeez thanks a ton guys for the super flattering response x-x !!

@thatguy: I painted the whole thing on one layer in Paint Tool SAI! (except for the eyeball; that got its own layer). SAI is an awesome drawing program. The line quality is super crisp and the painting tools are reaaaal smooth; I highly recommend it! It doesn't have too many graphic design or editing tools though, so that's where I went into Photoshop to add that glow behind the eyeball!
And sure! Though I'm still confused about Leorio's ability though haha.. like he can materialize his arm out of nowhere?? Anyone know the details?

@host samurai: that kurapika painting took ~8 hours! Though usually I just doodle and spend ~max 1-2 hours on anything since school murders me lol (like the stuff in my first post). And great job so far on your Ging drawing! You definitely caught that sharp look to his eyes
