Music Genres

[Babii-Boo]

Mine would probably be Hip Hip / Rap or R'n'B. I've been brought up listening to that type of music and because I just seem to hear that type of music wherever I go. Anyway, I prefer hip hop more than any other.

So whats your favorite type of music? Please also provide a reason as to why you like it.

I like Alternative a lot, but I guess that counts as Rock.

I like a lot of those genres, but gimme some easygoing rock songs and that's fine

I voted for rock, because it's what I listen to the most, but it's really hard for me to choose a favorite. There's just too much great music out there!!

i clicked pop! you can't get enough of good old boybands and cheesy one hit wonders! I like rock too...in fact I listen to anything it's songs I'm into rather than genres.

i voted rock, because most of bands i have is rock - from classic to indie..

But I listen to anything really (except grindcore/death/most of others hardcore metal, techno and hiphop/rnb) from jazz to metal.. I even have some classical on pc..

Even though I spend more time listening to Rock and Pop, Jazz is probably my favorite.

...What's "Melodic?" I've never heard of that genre.

Me too. But I also like classical, pop and some r&b, jazz and Philippine ethnic music. I dont like bossa nova much.

I voted for rock, although I like many different genres. To me, rock is the old school stuff: Guns n' Roses, Van Halen, The Eagles, etc. I'm also into what's termed "softer rock." Some of my favorite stuff is Plain White T's, Anberlin, Emery, Amber Pacific, Armor for Sleep, FCPREMIX, Fall of Troy, Panic at the Disco and Fallout Boy <3

I'm also very into rock orchestra, Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Then again, I like some foreign music too XD

I vote for "others". I like a lot of music genres, but I preffer metal... heavy, trash, speed, power, neo-clasical, etc.

Why? Idon't know. I like the rythm, the lyrics, the power.

Personally, I listen to alt. as an escape from generic music that everyone I know listens to.
