It really is a shame that it was cancelled. If it were still serialized right now I think it would've survived. Honestly I blame the bad cover designs for the lack of sales (that was one of the main problems right?).

I think Mx0 would've last long even if it were serialized right now. Mx0 was able to serialized 2 years because there isn't much considerable hit in Jump during 2005~2007. Furthermore with the success of 2008 and pretty good year on 2009, Mx0 would've been axed.

Mx0 was ended at its worst moment. The black card and the new school, teach and coach introduction was a really great set up for greater things. imo, there was no right to end this manga

Well the new school plot is something that wouldn't have worked all that well. Basically either Kuzumi would have gone away and started studying magic properly, in which case every other cast member would have disappeared, or he would have come back with a gold plate and destroyed the main dynamic of a guy without magic using his brain and brawn to survive.

Now what I really want is a special that serves as a true ending, with Kuzumi coming back to his friends with a real gold plate after a year. Hikago, for example, had a very unsatisfying ending that was improved afterwards by two specials.

Clearly, though, the whole thing about the black Mx0 was a set-up for lots of chapters that never happened. There was even a bit about how Kuzumi would get in trouble for not realising that using Mx0 would erase the absorbed magic that never came to anything.

Bad timing tbh, competing with the likes of Naruto, Hitman etc...sounded really good as well

I read this some time back, I agree with others who say that it was a great manga.
Shame it ended so suddenly, but I did enjoy it nonetheless.
