Maybe the author is making people THINK it's ending, but then it comes back in a few months with Part II similar to a Naruto Part II. We don't actually see Kuzumi's training, but instead just the results.

Well that's what some people think and hope, as I am part of them. Why? Imo if the upcoming chapter is last one how comes the author doesn't rush things. Even now they are talking about meeting each other in the beginning of second (or was it third?) year

Yea, we talked about that on IRC.
How will Kuzumi be able to deal with the plate/transfer thing, Aika, Lucy and everyone in only 20 pages? (prolly 18).
It's way too short.

on the other and I heard/read (could be rumors) that there's possibility he makes his last chapter longer like 28-30 pages or he makes his true end in the last volume (what's often done too - eg hitomi)

I can honestly say i was waiting for the manga to gain a more shounen storyline.
i think it failed to sell because instead of getting a lot more story, you were gettin alot of omake or gag or just pointless chapters.(did anyone see the amazing breast squad chapter)
they have been saying for a few chapters now that Taiga has amazing potential for magic.when i read this chapter i was really excited that Taiga would be able to fulfill his promise and get the Gold plate for Aika.But then i found out that the series was going to be ending soon i was pissed man.

Maybe Kuzumi says goodbye to everyone going off to train, when he's suddenly hit by a truck and dies. That would definitely end the manga.

on his forum he posted info when he checked 2ch.net some weeks ago, so you can say it's for 99.99999% sure that mx0 will be ended next issue (while he brought the info with an end some weeks ago but not the exaclty issue)

to make it short: ending was already confirmed, and now the issue of ending is confirmed
he's mostly right but he's been wrong few, few times about the issue but not about the ending itself maybe yusha is the only exception

Thanks for the info...i was secretly hoping no one would have proof so i could go on believing it to just be some sick rumor but alas...

I really hope you guys are right about it coming back later, after a time skip. Anyway we'll know for sure on Friday whats happening...

But really, ending it now after the story line was getting so good seems so...argh unfair. And its not like he just found out after this chapter that it was gonna end. He probably knew ages ago. So why still build up the story line like that? Why not gradually build up like a final battle or whatever? Something just doesn't add up there.

This manga will have to go out with a funny/i-can't-believe-that-just-happened kinda ending. And nothing involvin death either, that'd be kinda dark for this manga i think.

His memory being wiped is the most likely candidate for ending.

It is a pity Mx0 will finish. But I am also surprised because I have seen volumes of Mx0 in top ten of the best sellling mangas in Japan (ranking published on AnimeNewsNetwork)

At least it wasn't rushed and kano did a great job to focus kuzumis relationships with everyone he (and we as readers) knew. Class 1-c, mizuki and everyone of seinagi got a great salute

Yep, I will miss Mx0 a lot. It was by far in the lead of series that I look forward to reading every week. I only hope Kano's next series is not in Weekly Jump, or Shueisha for that matter.

A good ending wasn't possible given the time he had. But he did a better ending then he could have done. At least he didn't rush the things and yeah an open ending always leaves ???

He didn't rush the things yea, but wtf putting a 2 pages "future Mx0" to end the series without Aika in it? Who cares if Kuzumi can use a giant hammer -.-

Yeah, it was kind of sad and it does feel as if something was lacking. Still, I really doubt that's Kano's fault. This isn't the first time that happens with Shonen Jump, nor will it be the last. Kano did what he could to wrap it all. IMHO, not as good as most others chapters of MX0, but it was at least a decent closure.
