Been thinking about this for a bit, and idk if someone mentioned it but...

I think the Spanish D1 is a huge Golden Pair reference. Like, how far they can go if they stick together. Silva has the obvious acrobatics, whereas Julio is the vice captain that is very good with his reads and needs to step up in his role as a leader because of the captain's... absence.

We know Oishi's dream is becoming a doctor and that fulfill it, so at best this is just a "what if" thing.

Also Silva being a night person = common misconception about cats, lol.

Good Catch.

And Abilities wise too.

As you said, Silva has probably superior athleticism and acrobatics than Kikumaru.

But same with Julio too. He demonstrated his accuracy by hitting the ball and letting it thru a very small hole. When they are teaching Raul and Renato (the twin children brothers that Silva buys bread for)

Consequently, Julio/Silva will be a Buffed Version of Golden Pair.

And ofc, they need a Superior Synchro, also called as Howling.

Synchro is nothing now. Howling is the new standard in doubles

Well the German D1 achieved Synchro and Howling at the same time so yes, they need to bring up something new to the table.

Unless the Beast Synchro was a Howling (which is a theory of mine but it doesn't really go anywhere since the WoK are dead) it would be a good moment to bring it back. Maybe explain there's different kind of Synchros or sth.

Yeah. I feel like Julio/Silva will dominate Ochi/Mouri when the former pair gets serious.

My theory will be Ochi/Mouri will do well at the start (first set). But Will be revealed later that Julio/Silva has something ace in their sleeves.

Julio - Super Buffed Version of Oishi

Silva - Super Buffed Version of Kikumaru

So, even though we don't know much of anything about Spain's players yet, it actually seems pretty easy to create a hype setup for each match. I'm going to spitball here and assume Spain's line-up will have Ryoga and Medanore in singles alongside one of their MSers, plus one only-MS pair and one only-HS pair. Given these assumptions, you could, for example, do something like this:
  • Ryoga: equivalent to prime Nanjirou.
  • Medanore: stronger than Volk.
  • HS pair: one of them kept Spain in the big 4 while Medanore was injured, so his level shouldn't be far off guys like Ralph and Camus. The second guy would probably take more of a background role.
  • Singles MSer: I reckon this guy will be compared to Ludovic rather than Tezuka, just because Tezuka hasn't played any European tournaments to our knowledge whereas Ludovic already has a strong reputation internationally. Since there's a couple guys stronger than Ludovic though, maybe this guy's feat primarily focuses on something like never getting aced by the Prince of Aces or something along those lines.
  • MS pair: world's strongest MS pair with higher potential than Schneider and Bertie. Personally I'd like it if they had Synchro, but I'm not sure if we're still doing that.
Also, no matter what Spain has to offer, Japan will almost certainly beat them 3-2 in the end.
Let's see how accurate Sir Kaoz Predictions.

Ryoga and Medanore: Yet to be seen. But Kaoz is likely right.

HS Pair: Silva and Julio. I think Kaoz is off here. I dont think either is a Strong Singles player.

Singles Mser: Romeo is never compated to ludovic. So another off imo.

MS Pair: No MS Pair. Since 2 Msers (Ryoga and Romeo are in Singles). And Then left is Seda who is partnered with Hser Mares.

I wonder if

Julio/Silva will end up stronger than Doubles Pro Bertie/Dankmar

Bertie/Dankmar is mention to be #1 doubles pair in the tourney. So unless something really exceptional happen, the only pair that I think is stronger than them will forever be just Duke/Niou.

I mean yeah Upset/Exceptional can happen

Volk is mentioned to be #1 and strongest Player in the Tourney too. (But Consensus so far is Ryoga > Volk cause of former being final boss)

Byodoin was able to Upset him. I mean someone can argue if it is a fluke or not. But still he made it. Does that make Byodoin the #1 Player now?

But yeah. Julio/Silva should give us something exceptional. And give us exceptional reason to put them above Bertie/Dankmar.

I think Julio/Silva can be sneaky good and might be better than the Pro doubles. Spain is this big ass mystery team that is somehow out of the top spots so it stands to reason their best players either didn't play or didn't play at their full capabilities for X reason.

Until then tho yeah the Pro doubles are the best... although honestly the German D1 ended up getting a howling that breaks pairs and force you to play 1v2 (and somehow Akaya broke through that by being stupid OP?). Based on Bertie/Dankmar vs Tezuka/Volk, I do wonder if Bismarck/Sieg can win comfortably by forcing the Pros to split.

Topic for another thread I guess.

Ryoga was new addition on the team. So we set him aside.

Now for original Spain Members, we can safely assume

Medanore was Hospitalized and Underwent Operation.

Romeo would probably be Imprisoned at that time. And it took him too much time to escape.

So, That is already Minus Ryoga, Medanore, and Romeo. Their Big 3.

Wait, they are/were still ranked 4th right?

I will say that ranking is very good without Ryoga,Medanore, and Romeo

Maybe their strongest are Mars and Seda.

Since Julio/Silva are doubles specialist.

Yeah they were ranked 4th. NGL I had forgotten they were called "the big 4", I thought it was top 3 and then Spain and USA rising (and England free falling), lol.

Yup. They are still seen stronger than Rising USA.

At First, I thought Inui/Renji/QP have no data on Spain.

But QP proved me wrong.Because he knows who Mares Is. And even Siegfried knew Romeo is a Mser. Implying that Germany is well aware of Spain's Personnel

Lol.

Its funny how Volk/Tezuka would probably both lose to Bertie/Dankmar and Bismarck/Siegfried.

I wonder if back on POT,the Golden Pair
Oishi/Kikumaru can beat combinations like
Ryoma/Fuji and Ryoma/Inui. Since, Ryoma is bad at doubles.

QP might know them, but his data on them might still be limited.

Otherwise, his line about Switzerland being the team with #1 overall strength make him so far from Quality Perfect lol. It's best to just assume he didn't have enough data on them imo.

My Head Canon is that

Germany, Spain, Switzerland, France Top Players kinda know each other at least by name and appearance due to

Being in same previous Euro Tournaments.

Especially Siegfried statement on Romeo with something like

"dont be cocky just cause you won in europe"

Yeah. Tokugawa is like Japan's Second Best Player. He didn't play in the whole tourney before this Finals. Wait, he is not even fielded in any lineups.
Irie was actually in Japan's Lineup VS Switzerland. lol

I wonder who played for Spain and USA in their D2 Matchup. In Chapter 290 (english version). We can see a glimpse.

But i cannot visualize who. For Spain, its two tall people. So its not Seda or Romeo. I think it is Mars and Rodrigo.

For USA, Idk. Maybe Jackson and Kiko???

The score in D2 was 6-3. 6-3. (Spain Won)

While in S3, Spain won 6-4, 7-5. ( I wonder who played for both teams)

PS: Anyway, I think we will see it in one of the flashbacks from Spain Players
Tokugawa was Japan's S2 or S1 vs Greece.

Kimijima, Mouri, Date, Hakamada and Nakagauchi didn't play any matches. The first 2 and one of Date/Nakagauchi were probably meant to play vs Australia but Japan went with team bamboo instead.

In 318 you can see the US reps line up. Kiko, Dodo, Geisel, Ralph and no name MSers.

Ideally for flashbacks it went sth like:

S3: Mares vs Kiko (And we see Kiko finally lose)
D2: Silva and Julio vs Dodo and Jackson (and then we can see Silva's acrobatics vs Airman Dodo).
S2: Ryoga vs Ralph
Rest: filler

But I don't think Konomi will give us any of that, lol.

Guys, Why do you think Medanore Can Negate Consume?

At least Medanore implied he can rally with Ryoga even if the latter use Consume. And he is not afraid to be his sparring partner.

Is it just because of his Split Personality or something?

Anyway, I am excited what Medanore have to match up against Volk's Volknado/Infinite Loop and Byodoin's Eight Consciousness and World Techniques.

I believe it's do to his Split Personalities. Since consume takes effect when you return his returned shot.
If he swaps Personalities, then he's using a different playstyle and thus it's not consumed.
Presumably Ryoga's consume would also be less effective in doubles by this theory.

Wow. That will be nice for Kiko then

USA S3 actually managed to make the game close with score of 6-4, 7-5. So, it is not like Spain S3 demolished him without any problems.

I wonder what will be Spain's Hiearchy now. I am predicting like

Ryoga ≥ Medanore > Romeo > Mars > Seda > Silva > Julio > Rodrigo

Explanation:

Rodrigo is just a filler for Spain when Romeo is in Jail. In the Seda Flashback, Rodrigo is there instead of Romeo.

Julio is Vice Captain. But as @Hardy said. He is giving Oishi Vibes. And we all know Oishi is Seigaku's Vice Captain, and at the same time the weakest among seigaku regulars

Silva is probably a Buffed Hybrid Version of Kikumaru and Gakuto.

I originally have Seda over Mars. But That Germany VS Spain Practice Match Flashback swayed me. When QP picked Mars to play against their Second Best Player (back then). And He played against Mars too. And we are also predicting Mars will have TNK too.

Seda is like a Romeo Lite. Ngl. Lmao. Literally same Illusionist. Though, Seda might have something under his sleeves too.

I actually considered the idea that there might be another Spain Rep that is stronger than Romeo (Besides Ryoga and Medanore)
But Romeo's Feats is too good. Winning Euro Tourney without dropping a single game in his age bracket.

Ryoga and Medanore are self explanatory.

Kinda like he switches to another completely different player so he can’t consume his tennis and has to start again from scratch. Consume might take some time to kick in.

I bet Ryoga has more things up his sleeve, even if consume doesn’t work against Medanore I’m sure he has yet another technique even more broken, I see them as equals but Ryoga possibly has something else hidden that gives him the upper hand.

I like this order, but well it's all strongly speculative. The HSers might end up being really strong.

Not too relevant but Oishi was pretty strong up until all the other players caught up while he was injured. He lost to Prefecturals! Ryoma 6-3 (same Ryoma that had just won against Akutsu 6-4 breaking his serve twice, and for all we know Oishi got his broken only once). I think that during the prefecturals only Tezuka, Fuji and Ryoma were better than him.
