Naruto 458: Sakura's Tears

Another Naruto coloring. This time it's just a panel, yo.

It seems as if Sakura has reverted back to her teary self. Instead of that insane battle Sakura that we all began to love. I took a chance with the red nose... Tell me if I should take it off or not.

Wtf is that red nose supposed to mean? Your nose doesn't get so red while you're crying afaik . Or is she drunk or sick?

The red nose was suppose to be from irritation :O. I see it happen all the time with a runny nose...

I tried to make the tears look as tear-ish as possible. Giving them depth and what not. I'm trying to stray away from the anime pallete for right now. Just because everyone else is using it in most cases. But I might do anime colors from time to time.

Yeah the version without the red is is better, the version with the red made her look like rudolph the red nosed raindeer. LOL The tears are perfect, they actually look like water. The way you did it, nice job.

Btw, why did you put red on her nose?

A red nose would be fine, but this just looks like you took a brush woth soft edges or a gradient and made one dot :P.

I do think it's cool you put more detail in to the tears than into the rest. It shows that you can just do something simple and highlight something and it will look a lot better. Just like some people here do cell shades and they look good, but they add some simple highlights and they look absolutely fantastic.

the tears absolutely look top notch

the red nose i think was a great idea, but it was a pretty weak attempt- its way way too obvious

either lighten up on the red highlight, or add some red around the rest of the panel so it doesn't stick out so much



dont listen to these nubs that thing it was a dumb idea

Yeah. It only took me like a second to do that red spot. I'll go find other references to see if I can't pull it off better.
