pain had two huge advantages in his fight with jaraiya that were not present in the fight with naruto

the lack of knowledge of his opponent

and his home field advantage in the rain village, becasue in konoha (especially with the place leveled) it was a wide open arena, with nowhere to really hide, which suits a power type fighter like naruto much better

in the rain village he was at a huge advantage , i wouldnt say he was fighting smarter, however he did have two huge advantages

Most of the time in fights, you have no idea what your opponents could do. Jiraiya had no knowledge of Pain's power, but Pain also had no idea about Jiraiya's Sage Mode. So it's not an advantage really, it's just...neutral.

Him fighting in the Rain Village didn't really give him any advantage. It's not as though he was hiding from Jiraiya. If anything, Jiraiya is the one who used the battlefield's structure to his advantage i.e hiding and preparing Frog's Song.

Jiraiya had to waste resources figuring out Pain's abilities, whereas Pain already had a good idea of Jiraiya's abilities thanks to his childhood.

And while it's true that the fight in Ame didn't grant him any real terrain advantages, it did grant him forewarning against Jiraiya, and time to prepare.

Unlikely given he has no Kyuubi bailout. At the latest when Chibaku Tensei comes into play its game over.

i am starting my two nieces out early on naruto

i am buying them season one and two of the naruto anime for christmas this year, they are only 5 and 7 years old but i dont think its too early for them

How about you actually start with a high quality manga for kids that age? Something with comedy as it's main genre? Not a manga where the job of all characters is to fight and killl. Walt Disney stuff from some decades ago is a good entrance Imo.

nah i think the naruto anime is perfect for them, they will love it

they love dbz so i think they will really like it, plus i was watching some naruto in japanese and they loved it, my brother is cool with it

Being cool with it has nothing to do with my argument, but maybe that's just my view. Haven't really been an angel myself, yet teenagers are very different from small children. ... Little children get to read WSJ though.

You really want them to suffer the terrible Naruto Anime? It's like 75% pure retarded fillers, repetitive flashback and horrible animations... most of the time the characters just stand around without even moving their lips.

Although I have to admit I love the Zabuza Arc... I don't think it makes a lot of sense getting them started on an Anime which we know turns more and more shitty as it progresses, they'll only be disappointed... not to mention they are unlikely to wittness all of the story given how many episodes you'd have to buy.

At that age, the violence of Naruto's anime is not mild. Also at that age they can grasp better stories for sure. Studio Gibli full collection would be really nice choice, imho. It would be better food for their young souls. My little kids love some of the movies. But of course a gift is also a personal manifestation of appreciation.

Well there are plenty other shows that they'd love at that age,more so than Naruto.There's Samurai Jack,PowerPuff Girls (It's not completely girly crap as you might think,And oh,A striking similarity between the two series might've crossed the minds of the people who watched both SJ and PPG =P)

Star Wars : Clone Wars (Regular Animated,2003),SW : CW (CGI,2008),Well you can go for Animated or CGI depending on what the kids would like,I myself prefer Regular animation over CGI,I never really liked CGI animation >.>'',You probably might want to have them watch the original movies,I doubt they'll be interested in it >.>''.

Transformers (Armada,Energon,Cybertron),Transformers Prime,

Scooby Doo,

The Flinstones

And to say more Justice League,JL Unlimited,Batman : The Animated Series,Batman Beyond and a lot more that i don't recollect atm

They can start Naruto when they're 13 or above >.>

Are you only picking from animes? Because I would personally recommend My Little Pony:FIM. It's a show made for little girls, but contains pretty interesting and compelling characters, and a plot that both children and adults can enjoy. Also would recommend Avatar - The Last Airbender. It has the same appeal as both Naruto and Dragonball, along with a nice plot and some nicer themes.

Saaaaber Riiiiider, Mila Superstar, Sailor Moon, Samurai Pizza Cats, Digimon S1/S2. All those classics were pretty nice Imo. Maybe not as easy to get now though and more nostalgia than quality. haha 90s Turtles if it doesn't have to be anime.
