So I had no idea this was an actual thing, but apparently a "headcanon" is a canon to a story that you yourself understand isn't TRUE canon... but could totally fit within the canon of the story cause it just makes sense to you.
So what's your own personal headcanon for the Narutoverse? Something you think could potentially actually be canon, but have no way of proving it? And what makes you think it would fit into the canon? I'll start us off in case the idea still seems crazy.
My personal idea is that quite possibly, winged summons are an Uchiha-specific (not exclusive though) summon. Reasoning? The only characters we've seen with bird types are both Uchiha: Sasuke with his hawks, and Itachi with his crows. It COULD simply be that Sasuke trained so much with Itachi that his fighting style required hawk summons to match the training techniques he learned from his brother, the crow user. It could also be that he just took on the hawk summon pact in order to honor his brother's memory. But there's one more thing that helps me with my hunch and that's Madara's hobby according to the databook.
Madara Uchiha's hobby is falconry. Training hawks. So, the three most prominent Uchiha in the manga all are affiliated with flying summons.... that CAN'T be coincidence... can it?
Another neat little tidbit is that hawks have super duper powerful eyesight. Kinda fits with the Uchiha clan's whole "We see everything" deal.
Okay! Who's next?
