Re: Some Questions, plz help

I suck at coloring... but if who colored this is who I think it is (since the text is in Spanish and the coloring style is the same as his...), he bears no relation at all to Japflap or Binktopia, as far as I know.

Now the questions:

1-why the page is bigger than the original ? and how did 'he'( the one how colored this )made it bigger and more HQ ?
The first thing you need to know. There is no "original" size in Edited Mangas. In raws, the size is usually around 3000 px high (depending on the scanner). But 3000 px is way too big, that's why Manga Editors resize it to somewhere around 1100 px - 1500 px high. And also, the quality in the raws sucks, that's why Manga Editors clean it. And again, if the colorer is who I think it is, he didn't take the Edited Manga as a base but the raw, and redrew every single thing from there.

2-how did 'he' make the lines that were draw in the chapter so HQ and without any zigzag and deformed/destroyed areas ?
Because he drew them back from scratch maybe? The pen tool makes wonders indeed...

3- how did he add the naruto logo to the page ?
Adding a logo isn't that difficult... The only thing is that it's the logo for Naruto Shippuden, when in the manga it's just Naruto, it doesn't change to Shippuden or anything.

4- how did he make the colors so good and real ?
How would we know? Go ask him. Each person has a different coloring style... if any.

Re: Some Questions, plz help

lol @ one-sentenced answers. :tem

Honestly what I think normally happens with colors (I'm no good with coloring) is that the colorer first gets a nice cleaned page of the raw, they can use the Edited Manga if they want, it makes no difference unless they want to re-size it themselves later on.

After they have the nice cleaned HQ version of the raw they begin to break it down until all they have left is some line-art. Line-art is important because the colorer uses them for boundaries when coloring, they don't need any of the blacks or grays really, just the lines outlining everything on the page.

The colorer gets some nice basic coloring done, nothing fancy, but uses referances to images that were originally colored by the author, just so they know what color is what. We wouldn't have known Naruto's haircolor if Kishimoto never colored him himself.

Then they start to do a lot of cool stuff, like cell-shading and creating their own backgrounds to match the theme and stuff. It's awesome really, I'm just no good with any of it. lol :tem

In the case with your color, you've done an amazing job but it seems that the lines were just too thick, they stand out a little bit but it's fine if no one really notices it. I think you might've wanted to take out the text as well before coloring. It looks like you did but it looks like you didn't. Most of the time the colorer typesets his own text and uses his own font at the end of it, making it cooler since it's not grayscale anymore.

In the colored page (the first shown), if the colorer is who I think he is, he took a raw (pretty likely a cam spoiler raw) and he drew over the lines himself. I'm not sure that he's who I think, but it's pretty likely since he always uses the Naruto Shippuden logo (not the plain Naruto one) and since the text is in Spanish (and he colors the first and last page of each Naruto chapter to release it with his Spanish Edited Manga group).

Moving you to the Naruto Art Section since you did a panel page.

You can check out some of the colouring guides at the Colouring Tutorial Thread and I hope some of the more experienced artists around here can give you some pointers later on. Either that, you can ask questions at those threads whom you admire the skills to learn something new ;)
