Naruto is ending SOON(ish)
Authors Note Volume 42,
『ＮＡＲＵＴＯ―ナルト―』も40巻を越え、長期連載になってしまいました。
これからラストに向けてどんどん描き進んでいきたいと思います！
This can be translated as,
It has been over 40 volumes of Naruto, and has became a long series.
From now on, I'm going more to draw for the last part !
It does seems like Madara and Pein are going to be the last villains for both Naruto and Sasuke. If there are to be no more arcs then whats left is Danzou and ROOT, Kabuchimaru and finishing Akatsuki off. There is also a probability that Naruto will get rid of the kyuubi before the end too
Im thinking about 10- 12 more volumes which is around 100 chapters and with 52 weeks in a year, Naruto will end around this time in 2010
