For this battle, Neinhart can use every historia that appeared so far. So yes Kyoka vs. Kyoka, Ezel vs. Ezel can happen. Give me Neinhart mid
Neinhart was able to summon all 8 of those people I mentioned at Hargeon. He wasn't really exhausted then. It was only with the Spriggan Historia's that he started complaining about it being taxing on him, and even then... He was summoning 3 of them. If he poured all of his power into just maintaining one, he should be fine. The more people Neinhart summons, the more magic it consumes... and at a way faster rate too..
Eventually, summoning becomes counter-productive, it will deplete his magic pool (which isn't even good to begin with) and cause it to backfire.
Neinhart has to be selective in his ability to summon allies/opponents. Kyouka and Franmalth together can also manipulate his magic if they can copy it.
Sure, I agree, Neinhart summoning all those Historias will even out the numbers, but he's going to be exhausted to the point where a single attack from Silver will put him out of commission.
While each DG can control themselves at full power normally, Neinhart has to share his magic with himself (most important) and any additional Historia he pulls out.

Ur and Hades aren't really fodders though. Also... technically we're not limited to just the people at Hargeon. Neinhart's Historia of the Dead allow him to bring back the people that the targets knew. Considering Neinhart can summon 3 Spriggans, why wouldn't he be able to summon someone like Mard Geer? I wouldn't be surprised if he could summon the 9 demon gates as well. All of GH and Ikaruga were 8 years prior to the event. That's practically summoning fodders, which would all be oneshotted by some of the weakest DGs. (except Hades, but he didn't have a heart, so he is practically a non-factor here as well).
And of the demon gates, he summoned the 2 weak ones and Kyouka.
I do acknowledge that he could summon 3 Spriggan Historias, but Kyouka and Franmalth would be capable of that if they absorb his magic.
Neinhart is pretty much useless here because 2 DG can use the exact same magic as him... while the rest of the other 7 DGs can all focus on Neinhart.
Once you kill Neinhart, all the other Historias are gone.
So it wouldn't be difficult for all 9 DG to go full power and concentrate all their attacks on Neinhart... and so far, with Neinhart's capabilities, he wouldn't be able to dodge them all.
Which means that the DGs would take 1 Neinhart out before his historias can take all 9 DG out.

Summoning 3 Historia is a testament to Neinhart's magic power, which is at the Spriggan level. Even if Franmalth/Kyouka could copy Neinhart's powers, there's no guarantee they could muster up the means to summon a Spriggan. I'm also confused on how Franmalth would absorb Neinhart's power in the first place. Franmalth needs to make direct contact with their targets to steal their souls. That's easier said than done, considering God's Serena's Historia can accost Fairy Tail's charge. They can't just look at him and take his power.
Ur still gave Gray and Lyon fair bit of trouble, so she wouldn't be irrelevant against most of the 9 demon gates. Hades without Heart is at least still on Franmalth's level. I would put Hades, even without his heart, at around Warrod's level in terms of combat prowess.Ur and Hades aren't fodders, but they were so outdated. There was a time when Gray never thought he could surpass Ur in terms of power, but that has obviously changed a long time ago.
Hades without his heart makes him significantly weaker, since he's like 101 years old. His heart was what supplied him with magical power while fighting Laxus/Team Natsu. Especially by Tartaros Arc, Hades without a heart was no longer a formidable opponent.
And yeah, I agree, Neinhart can summon anybody he wants, I'm not concerned about that. But even if he summons someone like Mard Geer, that wouldn't stop all 9 DGs from just purely focusing on Neinhart.
And I don't see why Franmalth/Kyouka cannot summon Spriggans.. Wahl, Bloodman, and God Serena are all stronger than Neinhart. So that means Historia magic can be used to summon people who are stronger than the caster himself.
If that's the case, then even Franmalth or Kyouka can summon Spriggans.
Considering Silver has the ability to teleport, I don't see it being difficult for him to insta-freeze Neinhart.
At the very least, Silver can teleport Franmalth and Kyouka to Neinhart... then it will be easy to grab Neinhart and absorb his magic. Seeing as Neinhart canonically has almost absolutely no defensive maneuvers, even an amateur could do this, let alone the DGs.
Ur still gave Gray and Lyon fair bit of trouble, so she wouldn't be irrelevant against most of the 9 demon gates. Hades without Heart is at least still on Franmalth's level. Honestly, I would put Hades without heart at around Warrod's level whom is just as old.
Neinhart will have his Historia guarding him. If he goes with a 3 Spriggan Historias, he could just have God Serena engage 4-5 opponents, Bloodman hunt Keith, and Wall act as his personal guard.
In terms of magical power, Wall, Bloodman, and God Serena are all on the same level as Neinhart. Even if Neinhart is weaker than any of the Spriggans, it wouldn't be by a significant margin. Franmalth and Kyouka are both significantly weaker than Neinhart, or any Spriggan for the matter.
Wall can literally cancel anti-magic particles, and Keith is made of them. Wall would erase Keith. No Keith, Silver.
Also, at least in the case of enhanced Neinhart, he was immune to Brandish's magic and was able to cut her up with his winds. I doubt Kyouka and Franmalth could make contact long enough to fully absorb him.
Either way, I don't see ur being weaker than someone like Jackal or Tempesta.Well, Ur gave Lyon trouble, but as far as Gray goes, he was just trying to help Lyon conquer his past. The power that Ur unleashed was average, but it was her splitting image that made the situation a lot more difficult, probably due to their emotional memories.
Warrod is slightly different from Hades, in my opinion, because he merged himself with a tree, which explains why he doesn't need any type of life support.
And as far as MP goes, I have always disagreed with the majority here regarding the Spriggans all possessing the same amount of magical power... To me, it makes sense that Neinhart has significantly lower MP than almost all the Spriggans, which corresponds to his extremely low defense and offense. So, this is where we would differ.
Wahl canceling magic barrier particles is a fair point, but he would have to reach Keyes to do that, and his AoE for that spell doesn't have a large radius. Silver is better off teleporting Keyes somewhere else or teleporting straight to Neinhart to keep him busy.
But even if Keyes and Silver are taken out, the other 7 DGs are still there to take Neinhart down.
- Sayla can macro Neinhart.
- Kyouka can significantly reduce Neinhart's strength with her enhancement magic, raise his pain level, and take away all of his 5 senses.
- Along with Franmalth, Tempesta, and Torafuza, I highly doubt Neinhart would survive a barrage of attacks while having his sensitivity to pain drastically increased, especially given how low his durability is.
The hax of the 9 DGs is far greater than only Neinhart. Even if I were to give Neinhart the benefit of the doubt, he would still lose, whether it be easy diff or high diff.
Either way, I don't see ur being weaker than someone like Jackal or Tempesta.
Why would merging with a tree make any difference? I don't get it. Isn't that just the result of his magic? Hades didn't need life support either.
Neinhart's magic is his Historia. His offence should be considered the damage that his Historia can do. I wouldn't say that Neinhart has any less magical power than the average Spriggan. He has weaker durability, but even then... I wouldn't say he's vastly weaker than someone like Brandish.
Wall just needs to be in front of Keith, and I'm assuming the battle starts off with all of them on the battlefield. Plus, this isn't the only way to take out Keith. Any attack that rivalled Juvia's water nebula, like any of Wall's missles/nukes, should do the trick.
Bloodman should also have both macro and sensation. He could just order Neinhart to do what he wants, and then give Neinhart his senses back. Besides, Neinhart was enchanted to the point he was immune to Brandish's hax. It might not even work on him.
Was this whole merging with a tree ever explained, or speculation? Just because Makarov had a heart condition doesn't mean Hades does. The loss of his stopped him from being able to regenerate, but it didn't give him a heart attack.Merging with a tree extends your lifespan. Since a tree lives a lot longer than a human, Warrod ages like a tree. He can live for hundreds of years easily while Hades is a human, where 100 years is considered death's door. Makarov is only in his 70s and is already having random heart attacks.
And I'm quite alright if Wahl kills Keyes and Silver instantly, because in my opinion, the 7 other DGs should still be able to take Neinhart down.
However, Keyes is pretty much immune to physical attacks because his poisonous mist body gives him intangibility. He can just turn into a purple fog and float away.
By the way, I found it funny that Bloodman is ordering Neinhart around, considering that the historia is supposed to be Neinhart's servant and not the other way around.
Seems like the dude is not treated with respect even when he's the one that holds the power.
Regardless, this match really comes down to speed. Seeing as it's a 9 on 1 initially, I highly doubt Neinhart would have time to conjure all his historias and order each of them to specifically counter the DGs.
The Demon Gates aren't going to wait around for him to get his plans together, and especially since Neinhart is known for having almost no durability feats, this should be rather easy for the DGs.
But this is under my analysis that Neinhart just completely fails in everything (MP, defense, and offense). If you disagree with that, then it comes as no surprise as to why you would think the results of this match are different.
