neji cover semi redone

Im slowly trying to workin on different aspects of my coloring techniques and im practicing by redoing images I have already done. Here is a redone version.



Its not done and Im not sure that I will finish it. the Main purpose of doing this image was to continue practicing with hair and on this one, try new more smooth shading technique. Any and all comments and opinions are appreciated. Here is the original as well

Wow! I love them both, to be honest. As far as hair goes, the two examples are very different styles aren't they? Both work equally as well. I have to say, I love the second one overall, but this is because of the wonderful background colour and detail. Am loving that background. You should definitely finish that one.

The hair is pretty shiny but looks natural nevertheless.
The new technique looks good.

They both look great. Interesting bandage effect on the hand, it's like it's really tight while the other pic looks like he has thicker bandages.

They're both well done, although I like the newer one more. I like how you colored Neji's hair in the semi-redone version. The dimmer lighting also brings out the colors of his eyes and seal more.
