Well last chapter we were left with what seemed to be to be naruto’s arrival. We all saw the scroll but weather there was a cape or not too?… that was answered in this chapter. Technically the first chapter of 2009 if your in Japan, or best chapter of 2008 if your reading it online, either way I start this review with how pleased I was with this chapter, and I guess you can already guess my rating for it hehehe. Well with no further introduction I introduce, my naruto 430 Review hope you guys enjoy the read.
Kishi what an opener we get a multitude of colour pages of naruto in his brand new cape with scroll. Damn looks awesome from the front, and now I see it from that angle I’m definitely seeing a bit of the fourth in him, talk about arriving in style. If one thing jiraiya taught him when summoning giant toads, make sure you look good hehehe. So as I said last week there might have been some time different from when naruto was told to get ready and their summoning, and I was right because naruto looks completely cleaned up with some new gear.

And the frog that helped jiraiya fight against animal pain
And they are not just there to look good, they are there to back up naruto (probably against animal pain), and get some good cold revenge of the murder of kosuke, hope they slap down danzou real good for that one… but I guess they may never know it was danzou who killed the little guy.
All im going to say is pain’s death is imminent
Upon seeing naruto, note how quickly deva pain disappears into the smoke and debris. I guess even god is afraid of naruto and his gang of frogs lol. Even though naruto is high up on his frogs, gammabunta being the size of several story high buildings, and then on top of gamakishi Naruto is as high as possible, but yet unable to see through the debris or recognise konoha. You just have to feel sorry for the guy, at the moment he’s thinking damn we’ve been summoned in the wrong place… but he would have wished that was the case when he finds out this is konoha.
We saw the scale of the damage from last weeks double spreads but again I’m shocked.
Naruto’s expression in the picture above and the changes on the same page said it all. Well seems like the hokage mountains stand tall, continuing to watch over the village as they used to… but there’s not much to watch over now! The mountains look eerily larger without the buildings that usually covered the base. Pain really is teaching konoha some pain. But amongst all the bad, I must say the fact that the mountains still stand tall means all the people being hidden behind the 5 faces are safe, but when they all come out I don’t know how they’ll react.
But with such a mega attack having finished and run it’s course, it’s time to see the aftermath.
In my last review I was very critical in my analysis of tsunade and her actions, and seeing that her slugs all seemed to have enlarged and have saved the ninja’s in the battlefield she's done her job. But I still think she’s failed in the fact of protecting all that the previous hokage’s and konoha ninja had worked and died for… and that is protect the village from distruction, but I’ll talk about this later on.
Well kakashi, what is there to say, seems like he is still alive. There are many reasons why he still alive… he gets this viewing, he got protected by a slug, why protect a dead man? He still being healed it seems. Also if you guys remember that interview saying kakashi would get development, and it would be depressing blue… I can now see what it’s talking about. Imagine, your kakashi, a ninja facing against the enemy, not just any enemy but the one that then goes on to T total your home, the same ninja you came so close to defeating… now you wake up to find this same person was the guy who, if you'd defeated konoha might still be around. This may sound a bit harsh but I’m thinking a bit ahead as to how kakashi will feel once he wakes up. He’s going to be totally distraught, and then we got his father’s viewing a man who killed himself when depressed. I just starting to think kishi might be continuing a mini story with kakashi.
Well with kakashi’s viewing we also had a viewing of other of the rookie 9 ninja’s, shikimaru, hinita, kiba, chouji, all seem to be alright despite the supper powered attack, and that to me is a good thing. There’s been enough destruction death, if the rookie 9 were to get killed off I’d think it might be a bit too much for me to bare.
But with all these people shown and we previously seeing naruto’s reaction next is tsunade.
Well just as I said about tsunade’s failure and tsunade’s reaction will come up later in this review. First I’d like to talk about tsunade’s victory. Yes victory, but it cost her dearly. With the protection of all the people in konoha, which is the most important thing! She used up all her chakra. As the anbu suggest seems like tsunade transferred all the chakra she’s been accumulating in her forehead for 3 years roughly and used it to probably enlarge the once small snails and use them to protect everyone. I must say well done… The way she protected everyone in konoha, very hokage like, bringing her to the edge as she’s out of chakra, but the drawback to all that is that she’s left defenceless.
Well wrong, he’s using his technique to eat himself… The injured pain seems completely healed, kinda makes the efforts of kakashi and reinforcements completely useless. I wonder if this is a technique that’s only could be used on ashura (hell and demon) as well as the fact that he’s also a machine or cyborg. Or is it that hell pain can reincarnate all pain bodies. If it’s the latter then Hell pain needs to be first on naruto’s list in terms of pain bodies to take out. I also must say the resurrection of all bodies kind of throws out the window, my thought’s of nagato using all his chakra to use shinra tensei despite konan’s comment
So it seems like Deva pain using that technique the power is already amplified, so this already suggests to me that he didn’t use as much chakra as I first thought, but the fact that he regained control over all the bodies even if it did take longer, makes me thing that the technique used the way it was is more strenuous than chakra exhausting so I’m don’t believe that naruto vs pain will be a handicapped fight.
Apart from that is it me or does this mean that the konan that followed these 6 pain’s was nothing more but a clone? Especially the way she disappears as well as saying from now on I’ll be looking after you. I believe her real body is with nagato, and she stopped using her clone technique to get the information and then start treating nagato while he controls the 6 bodies from wherever they are hiding. Maybe they are close by or maybe they are not but it’s enough for her to send a clone out to not leave nagato, maybe using these techniques leaves him highly vulnerable.
So similar to how pain first infiltrated konoha animal pain summons the other 4 bodies and the 5 land with deva pain behind them looking towards a heart broken tsunade. As I said early in the review, tsunade did fail, and the hokage mountain’s which watch over what they died for to protect makes tsunades words all so surreal. Even though out of chakra her anger spurs her on, as she screams her title with the 4 frogs and naruto behind watching and listening.
Her grandpa and grand uncle created this village, the village she inherited the right to protect... and it crumbled before her very eyes. I’m not being critical of tsunade but more rather trying to imagine how she would feel, and if I were her I’d feel angry but I’d also be feeling like I failed even though she saved the people.
Again I said pain used the technique more of a punishment on tsunade, and I still think that’s right look at his reply, he doesn’t care, he’s made her understand pain more and with naruto in front of his eye’s no longer gives a damn about tsunade’s speech or her resolve as he send’s ashura to finish the women off.
Now I must comment on how fast naruto moved to deliver this crushing blow to ashura. Naruto was standing upon two frogs high above the ground, so it was a simple run towards her at high speed, he had to jumped down and hit ashra in time, he was also further than pain was in distance to tsunade. Even the anbu standing just behind tsunade could only react by raising a hand, not being able to protect tsunade in time. Yet naruto, lets say a few hundred metres away if not more, reacted, reached and utilized a rasengan (no clones used) in time to protect konoha and destroy ashura pain. That level of speed is unbelievable! The only one that fast is the yellow flash and that’s just because he teleported, but when moving at naruto’s speed who needs teleportation.
It can be said he surprised pain, but naruto was in plain sight of all of pains 6 bodies being behind tsunade, yet ashura who was using jets in his feet for an extra speed attack couldn’t dodge of react whatsoever. Tsunade completely shocked by the arrival of naruto. If he’s moving as fast as I think, the destruction facing ashura even before being touched by rasengan was due to the impact of naruto landing on him, rather than the rasengan itself... that would be completely awesome!
When kakashi had this image of the 4th behind naruto that was whoa, but after what naruto just did, OMG this is epic. Tsunade or maybe gama or maybe everyone, is seeing the 4th and jiraiya in naruto right now. Kakashi said naruto had surpassed him, I was left kind of sceptical with that, I just didn’t believe 1 technique allowed naruto to surpass the guy, but looking at naruto now. He’s easily far stronger than tsunade herself, he’s already got her strength if not more plus an extreme speed boost, also we still yet to see frog fu and any new jutsu’s naruto may still have hidden in his arsenal, the introduction to this fight has me seriously seriously excited.
Naruto’s statement to tsunade, has me thinking, I believe he’s locked away his full rage (which would usually make him stupidly attack or go 9tails). I believe he saw what was happening with tsunade, knowing that she was angry but also too weak to take revenge on pain. So to make her feel better as well as sound UBER cool he goes tell her to take it easy and drink some tea. Lol that’s the best line ever Naruto must be truly confident in dealing with pain... with ease, he must do, because there’s no way he should be sending her away like that if he’s not completely changed. Plus he has the jutsu even the frogs don’t know about, ah man this fight is just so well hyped by kishi, I hope it doesn’t end anticlimactically, due to so much anticipation.
But not only with arguable the best entrance in the entire manga, naruto is not in a fight where no one can truly appreciate him, this time an audience even greater than the one where he defeated kakuza, this time he’s got the people of konoha who are probably thinking all is lost and is about to see naruto teach pain a lesson, just perfect, loving that hyuuga commentary took the words right out of my mouth.
With everything left said and done before the fight can begin pa mentions naruto surpassed the previous generation and naruto screams he’s going to finish this, and with the watching of ashura destruction I’m sure all pain bodies and nagato are quacking in their boots lol.
It’s interesting the chat between gama and pa, it suggests to me that pa knew minato and if that’s the case maybe it is as people suggests, and minato spent sometime with the frogs, I don’t know if he had enough time to completly learn sage mode, but I’m sure he didn’t, but maybe while there he used it to learn his famous techniques using idea’s he was learning from training at frog mountain. That’s only if he trained there! He could simply just know about the 4th rather than personally trained the guy.
Looking forward to some naruto frog combo attacks especially with naruto’s wind and gama’s water!
Well this is a new section only just for the upcoming fight
He’s got a cape and scroll
The scroll looks very similar to jiraiya’s but jiraiya took his to the bottom of the lake, so then what does naruto have in the scroll of his? Is it more weapons like we saw him summon at the fight with kakashi? Could it be that he’s learnt a bit more than just the seen sage mode. With kage bunshin he could have easily been learning plenty, while he himself practice using sage mode. Maybe it’s one of jiriaya’s earlier scrolls and naruto was planning on protecting and learning everything his master once learned. Or simply he could just want to look a bit like jiraiya. The red is definitely just like jiraiya’s.
Also naruto has a new calmness about him, the way he attacked ashura pain, it was more like he knew he could take out pain without much problem, he also didn’t seem angry when doing it. Well his last shout did, but naruto does got this new aura about him. With his new found strength and speed, I believe he’s now faster than our uchiha friend sasuke. I also believe now he could defeat the guy if the two ended up fighting. Also with tsunade this weak Danzou could make his move. Though with the enemy directly in front of naruto, killing tsunade would just be so suspicious. Naruto’s arrival also proves that tsunade did make the right decision in wanting to call him back (well that’s if naruto had finished the training), so I don’t see how the advisors may try turn round and say tsunade isn’t fit for the job.
After defeating pain I could see Naruto getting an auto promotion to jounin rank and if team gai gonna arrive in konoha with neji watching how much naruto changed that would be so great to see.
Anyways back to the normal process

Well again I couldn’t help but make comments on what I think will happen so I’ll summarise.

Sasuke’s arrival still unsure if its coming soon, but I can’t imagine how he will react when he see’s the village he now hates completely wiped out
