Metal-plated trees? totally forgot about that. I was trying to get a Galaxy Express fan I know into One Piece because it has the same thing where it's only limited by the writer's imagination, a different planet each week. The reason for One Piece's success and why it has (incredibly unusually) got this far while still getting better is the imagination and the hugeness of the world, combined with characters people want to spend time with.

Anyway prediction:There hasn't been a winter island since Chopper, so I'm thinking a floating island on pack ice would really fit with the One Piece theme of every place they arrive at completely disintegrating a few days later.... and it's an obvious gap in the things that have happened yet (not counting Aokiji, and Franky and Robin's timeskip experiences). Maybe Oda's saving it for Raftel..

Plus curious about the One Piece world. How many days or months did they sail between islands? are all their adventures documented in the story or just the dramatic ones? Shanks and Buggy arguing about the north and south pole is all good, but what? does the Grand Line go round the equator of their world? or on a slant? All that ocean currents stuff when they first set sail under the sea was straight oceanography truth, so Oda knows his shit scientifically when he wants to. I think the plan of making a world that ran off bullshit and rule-of-cool to make it interesting worked, plus ever since Enel went to the moon anything can happen...

It was Minister Of The Left who said the log posts wouldnt work like usual. I dont want them meeting a Supernova so early, for me that would make it seem like a Supernova wasnt strong enough to jump that first hurdle breaking into the New World. Unless its an island in a Supernovas control, that would set up a good conflict down the line & the Straw Hats cant be too buddy buddy with everyone.

I do....Bonnie I want her to join the crew.For me it was always her or perona and we know perona won't.The potential for comedy during mealtimes if bonnie joined is just too good to pass up...ultimate battle:Bonnie vs. Luffy takoyaki special(lol)....It is clear she has a bigger part to play in the story more so than any other supernovae given the govt's interest in her as stated by Akainu....Am hopping she is in G1/G2/G3...Gx? and the strawhats rescue her and her gigantic appetite and cool age df

I agree it would be cool & even if Bonney is my least favourite Supernova, she still towers above most other characters in my book, but it wouldnt make sense if they still that close to the entrance after 2 years its wasted potential considering how strong they should be. It would be better further down the line when the Marines get more involved in the story again.

I'm kinda hoping that there's another Yarukiman Mangrove on the other side of the RL. It makes sense to allow bi directional travel to FI easier, and IMO would be fitting..
I'd love it if in the NW the archipelago was a haven of pirates and pure chaos.
It could be a place where the SH face off with some new rookies, or an old foe.. Buggy, Croc. etc..?

Though the foreshadowing for the island that lighting rains upon is pretty clear.....

According to this picture, there are in the New World some "island roads" like there were in Paradise. The difference is that some "island roads" connect to others before getting to the final island of this part of the Grand Line. We also notice that there are four main "island roads", which probably makes the 4 Yonkou territories. Anyway, I guess the Straw Hats will have to change several times of "island roads" for plot reason : to meet people (Lola's mom, Elbaf, 2 remaining Yonkou, Marco), to escape/fight (Smoker, Blackbeard, Admiral), to get something (new coating, special log pose, technology/material, vivre cards). Also since people and Yonkou live in the New World, most of them probably don't follow the "island roads" in their everyday life/year's travels like rookies do. There must be some kind of Eternal Pose/Map to go wherever you want, when you want.

I so forgot that map! And I don't think Oda forget it too, since He's quite good at foreshadowing. I bet Fishman Island is the first dot closer to the Red Line.

That map has another interesting feature. It seems there are 5 islands to depart from at the start of the new world. In turn, those 5 roads eventually converge into a lone island. That lone island is bound to be a remarkable location IMO. That particular location would be where new world rookies are bound to converge, that is, pirates of actual strength who got a shot at changing the future. It is bound to be an inherently chaotic place. Perhaps it also serves as recruiting grounds for the yonko as every young pirate would eventually make it there.

And only 5 points means that at least 2 Supernovas should have cross each other. I mean, Zoro and Killer doesn't count (So that's two less) Bonney and Law are waiting (Assuming that Law did so) so that is two less in the list. Even so, there is 7 Supernovas for 5 roads. And we did not see them cross, so maybe there is something wrong with the map OR things doesn't work as we supposed.

It's quite difficult to imagine how the Straw Hats will meet again the former SN. We don't know how long if the SN are still trying to go further on their respective "island road" or have finished it. To finish it you would need to go to the gathering island on the map (which is very likely not Rough Tell). If it was so, they would now be travelling anywhere in New World since they didn't find Rough Tell/One Piece yet.

So they could be trying other "island roads" or even going elsewhere because they can't go on their "island roads". That's not so stupid when we know that even Yonkou go outside New World whereas they can probably go almost anywhere they want in that part of the Grand Line. Whitebeard was known to have gone three years ago (one year before his death) to some island in West Blue - or is it North Blue ? Shanks was also in East Blue when Luffy was a child. That way Law would have been smarter going elsewhere first and getting stronger in order to break any roadblocks later in New World.

It's also possible that going from one island to another takes a lot of time unlike in Paradise. First of all, there are the Marines who have at least two islands where they have the new MHQ and G5. With the new Fleet-Admiral's policy, they should be quite a trap in the "island roads". They are likely to be marine battleships with strong navy soldiers trying to sink/block pirate ships. Since New World is controlled by the Yonkou, I bet they are also at some islands Yonkou's nakamas/allies preventing any pirate crew from going further. That way rookies would need an agreement from one of the Yonkou to continue their "island road".

Yonkou could also prevent any pirateship from travelling on some of the New World's seas. There is maybe for example one of them controlling the Edd War and preventing any pirate crew to go into some direction. In that sense, it would explain Crocodile's speech on Whitebeard stopping him in the New Worl. It would also explain his speech on gold (Yonkou) and silver medalists (non Yonkou crews/allies). Thus the Yonkou would be real obstacles for silver medalists, and not simply some dangerous threats you should avoid in your travel.

Each supernova must have found their own path by now. I would think at least kid and law are still independent. I few of them I can see merging their crews into that of a stronger power. Drake seemed to have a specific plan, it seemed convenient for him to piss of kaido. Bonney, capone and apoo seem like the more likely to merge with a bigger crew.

Yeah, you can go anywhere with an Eternal Pose or with Fishman navigation, just because the Straw Hats thought it was more fun to just go where the log pointed most of the time doesn't mean anyone else did. You can probably use the Log like a compass in between islands, then take bearings from that to get to a 3rd island, or use known currents like Nami did to get to Fishman Island. Drake probably has Vegapunk tech he took with him from the Marines.
It's just difficult because the weather is crazy and records are unreliable, which makes for better stories and means Oda can make as much stuff up as he goes along as he needs to.

I like all this about 'island roads' by the way. Sounds like the viking 'whale road'..

all very interesting theories!i would love to see the new marine base and maybe a new vegapunk personal island with hi tech'' pacifistas,also in my imagination i'd love to see a large piece of the moon(that enel went)to be crushed on new world and is now an upside down island maybe!perhaps more islands like the thunder island with elements like fire everywhere or a lava based living volcano island as an ultimate ''stage for akainu.of course i'd like to see the strawhats paying their respects to the island that WB and ace buried,i can add the island that the vivre cards are produced to my whishlist and of course about rafter i think except the very ''difficult to reach'' parameter that it will have something ancient building like a temple for it's poneglyph and it will be probably the most peacefull and beautiful island.
