I have to ask.
Current +200k pl Mael vs The One
And why?
The One, because its hype is continuing on, while Maels will likely die in one or two chapters. There is no real way to tell what PL The One is, but oneshotting AM Meliodas with a swipe of his hand is far more impressive than not oneshotting Diane with the commandment bomb. Plus Escanor has Rhitta and he has skill, sacred treasures arent to be underestimated, the Sins with them and their skill can usually hit beyond their weight class, and i kinda doubt Mael is beyond The One's.

If The One is limited to his one minute then 4C Mael outlasts him and wins. In the hypothetical scenario that The One could last indefinitely I am not so sure anymore. I always putted The One into the 200K+ range, which is the same as 4C Mael right now. The One has the better feats right now, he oneshotted AM Mel with a credit card swipe (lol), meanwhile 4C Mael's attack was resisted by King and Diane (with the help of Gowther's technique of course, otherwise they'd have been oneshotted too). Dunno, I would say Mael with high to extreme difficulty because of his versatility: he can use PoL and PoD or a combination of them to attack, he can fly and has good regeneration. He should have a high physical strenght, too. He seems way more versatile than The One, who is only a physical power house.

5C Mel vs 4C Mael: Meliodas wins easily for me. Higher base, one more commandment absorbed and better absorption of them. It doesn't make sense to me that a Goddess could absorb 4C and control them in the matter of minutes, meanwhile Mel, who is a demon (and unlike Mael, he is fully compatible with the commandments), would last half a day in absorbing them for only to get the same power increase and techiques that Mael has. It's sounds unfair and makes no sense, IMO. Obviously the "light and darkness won't work on Mael anymore" is just an hyperbole, unless you think that he could easily tank attacks from the DK or the SD with PoD and PoL respectively with no damage. Sariel meant that at the moment there wasn't anyone strong enough for PoD and PoL attacks to work. It doesn't mean that PoD and PoL attacks from stronger people than him won't work at all.

4C-Mael vs 5C-Meliodas

Who wins? Let the war begin :cheez
The commandments seem to be additive. Mel was already at 142k in just his base whereas Mael is only at 200k with 4. Also factor in that Mael is unstable due to not absorbing them properly. 5C Mel slaps him. It's not even close

You're overlooking something fundamental.

That swipe was an answer to a 142k assault, which resulted to Escanor overheating his powers to the extent that Merlin could later knock him out with a light touch--Merlin saw through his the prideful facade. Incidentally, that same swipe cost Escanor nearly 97% damage, meaning he would be incapable of doing anymore than that swipe even if it were possible for he would've been subject to a certain fatally.

Simple logic. That swipe was the best thing Escanor's got, & it's primarily why Escanor's body is suffering internally atm (coughing up blood), & it's possible that Escanor is currently incapable of swiping down again, at least with the same intensity, because of strain his body is going through.

Therefore I conclude that Mael (200,000+ >>> 142,000) would beat up Escanor pretty badly regardless of the ONE, & rather easily too because in the end 142,000, though was KOed, was able to actual survive that swipe which did around 78% damage. It wouldn't have the same damage on 200,000+ (assuming the swipe could even damage him at all).

I think you're underestimating The One a little bit. While it's true that mode puts a heavy strain on Escanor's body, he didn't get all that 98% damage from the swipe (if that's what you're implying). That wouldn't make any sense. He got the majority of that damage because he was getting trashed by Mel during the whole battle. Of course, going into The One state which probably he rarely does, didn't help either.

The One was able to tank one of Mel's strongest attacks until today with zero damage, not even a scratch. His swipe was enough to KO AM Mel without apparently touching him. And it hasn't been properly stated if that attack was the best thing he got, too. For all we know, it's not out of the realm to think he could have even stronger techniques.

Mael's only attack with this form, though it was very impressive for the destructive scale, wasn't enough to completely KO someone like Diane (tho it also was partially for Gowther's help). Mael can't put down The One that easily like you're claiming.

5C Mel would absolutely smash 4C Mael effortlessly.

There isn’t even anything to debate about that.

There’s like 2 commandments worth of power between Assault Mel with 0C and Mael with 4C.

He’s fodder to him with 5C.

The One vs. 4C Mael is more interesting, but impossible to really debate about because Peak Escanor has only delivered a single attack, and has no known power level.

I’m assuming “The One” is stronger.

If Mael wins, and goes to Camelot, he’ll probably end up fighting Peak Escanor, then lose for the tenth time, but somehow absorb the 5th commandmnet to surpass it. That’s what he’s been doing this whole time after all.

Trapped in the Enlil dimension? Absorb a commandmnet.

Body exploded by Tarmiel? Absorb a commandmnet.

Near death, and getting pushed back by Tarmiel/Sariel/Derrerie/King/Gowther? Absorb a commandmnet.

So I guess following that line of progression if he wins:

Losing to “The One”? Absorb a commandmnet.

And then he’ll go on to get fodderized by Mel.

And I guess something would happen during he Mael fight that would lead into his character arc.

If Mael loses right here right now to the sins, then he definitely has to be weaker than the one. Doesn’t make any sense for Nakaba to have hyped a form the sins could beat with teamwork as the greatest in heaven and earth, and the invincible incarnation of power.

You're overlooking something even more fundamental, The One still hasnt lost yet, or even had a proper fight, with its hype still going strong chances are that it can and will do much more.

As for Escanor overheating to the point of getting knocked out by Merlin, that was after The One had already ended. Before The One Escanor had been using Sunshine and its increase in power to constantly tank, and recover from everything AM Mel threw at him, powering through injuries that would leave lesser versions of himself bloodied and broken on the ground, when Escanor started to decrease in power all that damage caught with him, and the burden of using Sun to such extremes put him down. But as long as Escanor is in that minute he doesnt need to worry about Sun, injuries, or anything else other than beating his opponent and since Mael isnt Meliodas he doesnt need to stop after a single attack

Hawk Mama is in a God level.
She can take all AM Meliodas attacks and smash in one single shot.
Mael < Hawk Mama

How does Escanor win?

Sure, he basically fodderized Assault Meliodas in one credit card swipe, but I doubt he could do that against current Mael.

All Mael has to do is outlast him for 60 seconds, and it's a guaranteed victory.

Escanor can't win unless his mode is stronger than we believe.

Excellent post, truly factual and unbiased.

This is truly why the Demon King stole Hawk as a baby, to get revenge on Hawk Mama, his second equal.

I am not saying he could beat him the same way. But Escanor has attacks which are much more powerful than that, his Super Slash especially. Anyone would beat him after 60 seconds but this isn't easy. Mael doesn't have teleportation and Escanor is obviously very fast.

The ONE wouldn't be able to incapacitate Mael like he did to Mel.
Would Orb of Love work?

If been asked, ignore.

Four Archangels (Mael doesn't have sunshine) vs Chandler, Cusack, Zeldris & Meliodas (No Assault Mode).

I feel like both sides are very equal, but in a full fight:

- What would be each sides strategy or main strength over their enemy?

-Who would survive and be killed? Both sides should suffer casualties and massive injuries.

-Who would be victorious?

Mel was somehow able to drive Mael even with sunshine. So I think the answer is pretty clear.

Not really. Mael retreating could be for literally any reason.

Mael could've had his casserole in the oven and was worried it would get burned. We don't know :cheez.

So the answer isn't clear.

Overall the AA have the advantage in magic and the demons have the advantage in strenght. I say overall because each side has characters that are good at both departments. So far, the regenerative capabilites of the AA seem to have no limits, unlike the demon clan's in which the pain lasts and they seem to be unable to regenerate something that has been completely destroyed (like Derieri's arm). Sariel, for example, regenerated an eye that was completely destroyed by Derieri. I think the AA have the slight advantage in regenerative capabilites. In addition, their light attacks seem to be super effective on the demons, more than the darkness of the demons on them. However I may argue that the demon clan has an even greater advantage and that is that three of its four members have abilites that counter magic hard (Full Counter for Chandler and Mel, and God for Zel). For warriors like the AA who depend most of the time on their magic that is a great disadvantage IMO.

There is also another thing. I don't see Mael without Sun at the level of Mel with his second demon mark at all. Mel with his second mark equalled and repelled Mael with Sun. Now, we don't have any clue of what time of the day it was (I think it was dawn), but that's not the point. It's pretty clear that Mel's 2nd Mark>Mael without Sun.

Overall I think it's a pretty equal battle but I would bet for the demons winning more times than not. The difficulty probably goes up to high or extreme, though (depending on how strong is Mael without Sun).

Demons no question, Meliodas and Chandler's Full Counter makes short work of pretty much any AA they face and True Night just furthers their advantage by powering up the demons. Then there is Mel driving off Mael with Sun, which at the very least means that Mel was equal to Mael while he had Sun, without Sun Meliodas should definitely be above him. So really the other 3 demons just need to hold off the AA until Meliodas inevitably beats Mael, and with Chandler's Full Counter and Zeldris' magic seal that should be easily accomplished.

Wait, why does everyone think Meliodas ''driving off Mael'' means he's superior? :yodawg

That was Mael without sunshine barely active, and all he did was walk away - literally means nothing.

We don't know. I'm not saying he trashed Mael, but he definitely didn't lose to Mael even with Sun active.
