I don't know why but I'm more inclined to believe that was and early design for Leo.

Baka i love your sig. Lucy will get all the spirits thats obvious, the question becomes, will she get them right before the series is over or will she get them and then realize that there is actually much more stellar out there as well.

My theory is that only someone who has 12 golden keys can call to the spirit king.... Of course, that is just a crazy theory and the only grounding it has is that it is a very shounen thing to do.

That would be a very shonen thing to do indeed. I would have thought it'd be very unfair for anyone to outrightly be able to summon him since I'm guessing his strength is off the scale. SO maybe he does become available to one who has 12 golden keys BUT he doesn't give them his key, instead only to appear when he is really needed.

Thanks for the compliment. There are as many spirits as there are constellation. The only thing i wonder at the moment is if Mashima will decide to make Ophiuchus the 13th zodiac.

Well it's obvious Mashima has already something in mind about having more power if all 12 golden keys present. There's a foot note about it on the draft. So there is a chance that that could mean summoning the spirit king.

Recently we saw yet another weapon style stellar spirit... I get the impression even though the most powerful stellar spirits are the gold keys, silber key users won't necessarily be weaker than gold key users. Stellar spirit mages could got in a different direction from lucy and instead of using living spirits focus on using weapons in an edoraish way. As shown with callum and the river whip, stellar spirit weapons can be extremely powerful.... wonder what other spirits are also weapons and of what kind. Also, lufy used the whip before without using her own magic, perhaps it is possible to use it with the users magic and further boosts its power (while draining you though). A powered up version of the whip could result in a flow actually comparable to a river....

Hmm well maybe there are more lvls of spirits anyways, not just the silver and gold keys.

For instance what about Elemental spirits? (fire elemental ^^)

Or perhaps?? Diamond keys? Platinum keys? Maybe even Ancient keys.... :P

Just making sugestions lol.

Are there only 12 golden keys? and each represents a zodiac sign?

Then there could only be one stellar mage if this is the case.

Maybe there will be 12 black keys or probably golden keys that aren't zodiac sign.

I would be very disappointed if there are other kinds of keys beside silver and gold (only exceptional should be the stellar spirit king's key, if he got one that is).
There are 88 keys (w/o the possible king's key). Lucy only got 13 keys if I'm not mistaken. That leaves 75 keys for other mages (and of course they can also get a copy of the 4 silver keys she got). I dont see any problem with that. We've already seen a silver key that can take out 2 zodiak spirits in 1 hit.
There were 2 villains using stellar spirit magic already (3 if you call Karen a villain), I dont want to see any more of them...

the stellar keys are 12 total then you got the silver keys both of wich Lucy said are rare(silver) and super rare (gold)...then there got to be common keys. Also the silver cannis keys Lucy said people use them as pets cause they need less magical power... (thus in other words the Canis key there are multiple of m) Perhaps all keys got multiple ones of m. We just simply havnt seen any duplicates yet.

As for the Zodiacs i guess they are only 1 each wich makes m so rare. Also the Spirit king there is no guaranty he has a key at all.

Silver keys are not rare. Lucy said they are buyable in stores.

Well just have to wait and see on the keys. It would be odd if the keys are only gold and silver. Btw the distinction is Silver,Gold then Gold Zodiac. Why else call it Gold + Zodiac? So i asume there are other gold keys as well. And for the silver ones well 20000 jewel for a weak dog and her rent is 70000 jewel.... so thats a lot of money. Im not saying its super rare but that key was expencive.

I was thinking.... maybe the octans and sextans(look in list) are set of tools or weapons? It'd be interesting if that stellar spirit has many weapons, it'd be trully powerful.
