Do you guys think that the recent addition of Ophiuchus to the signs of the zodiac (or, I suppose, bringing it back in) will be brought up in Fairy Tail? I thought that Capricorn was going to be the Zodiac Spirit on the side of evil for evil's sake, but they could do a little story about the serpent-holder being a fallen spirit or something. It happened to Loki after all.

If this arc goes the way everyone seems to think (Fairy Tail losing...which unfortunately given history I'm still only 50% on), then perhaps Capricorn is Loki's "final boss"? A once fallen stellar spirit against one who has truly fallen to darkness seems the sort of thing that could work out nicely.

Of course, this is assuming that Lucy gets her own "final boss", because ever since Angel got defeated I've long given up the idea of long standing villain-rivals.

I'm guessing Capricorn is just being summoned by Hades since summoning yourself can kill you. Plus, he could have hated the Spirit World or something like that and could be grateful that Hades "saved" him.

There are 12 golden keys as stated in the manga but it is altogether possible that he might appear as a silver key with power equivalent to the golden keys. Or perhaps we will see him get a promotion of sorts...

I don't think Hades as the summoner, I'm betting on the little girl, Meredy, because she was standing on caprico's side on the first chapters of this arc, and she has some "stellar mage look".

I don't think any of the seven kin we have seen so far could possibly be caprico's summoner. If that was the case then the seven kin would actually be composed of 6 members not seven (unless we also start counting each individual spirit lucy has as an independent FT mage too- loki is obviously an exception when he is not bounded by a contract though....). I proposed the idea that caprico might be using his magic to keep hi summoner concealed but I just had another thought. What if caprico has a summoner but that summoner is being used as a battery. Basically, caprico holds him trapped as the means to stay in the human world as long as he pleases. It would kinda be a recycled concept from rave but it does kinda work.

Tttly agreed. And I also think that this human would be someone that we know, like Lucy's mother, or the previous owner of Loki, supposely dead, but maybe Caprico saved her and locked her.

It can't be loki's previous owner IMO. She did not seem to have the magic to even summon two spirits.... I don't think she would have the amount of magic required to maintain a summon for god knows how long (long enough for caprico to be recognized as a member of the seven kin and not him/her). Either this is someone who is completely unconscious or a secret member of grimmoire heart of sorts (assuming he/she exists).

I'm happy Lucy got another key. She deserves it because she needs more power ups. If only Lucy knew how to utilize all her keys together she could become one of the strongest mages in the series. Mainly because she has a hax ability with Gemini and all her other spirits are pretty strong except a few. Hopefully later on in the manga, she will use her keys strategically, so she can kick more butt.

Well, if lucy could use a mere two keys at the same time she'd be extremely hax....I doubt even natsu could take a combination of two stellar spirits. What I'd like to see about lucy is perhaps more ways for her to use her spirits. Spirits use the casters magic so their strength is related to the user. It would be interesting if there were spells lucy could use to boost her spirits. Say, she could use a spell to make loki faster or stronger.... Or perhaps a spell to make a stellar spirit perform a spell. It'd also be interesting if lucy could get weapon stellar spirits to work as weapons for her own. For hax would taurus be if he had caellum lol?

I don't think it would be hax for Taurus to have caellum... he gets defeated pretty easily...That would be awesome if Lucy learned spells to perform related with her magic. Hopefully that can happen in the future. I wouldn't mind her doing double summons. Compared to the other members on her team she is behind so she needs a power boost compared to them but so far in the series she has made the most improvement imo

When was it said loki was the leader of the stellar spirits?

It is only stated in the Anime during Lucy fight with Angel. No where in the manga does it say that.

I certainly hope power up change the look of some spirit. I'm fine with some, but I don't really like Cancer or Taurus, or Sagittarius.

I thought that could be the case but perhaps it was said in the volumes q&a? For example, the manga never actually said the oracion 6 members were slaves at the tower of paradise but it was said in the volumes. I wish we had a better source for those questions lol.

Eh, I never really read Q&A at the end of volume. I have up to volume 20. But I'm pretty sure some of it is a joke. Like Mira said that Jellal tomb was so closed so Racer actually doesn't that long, or something along that line. I wouldn't take a lot of them seriously.

I think Lucy was supposed to be one of the strongest fighters in future. She's like a rough diamond

Anyway, I've also realised that her mum probably used to own the most no.of golden keys. Thus, it isn't surprising for lucy to own more keys than her mum since she's still working and collecting keys on extremely rare and dangerous missions whereas her mum quit at 16. Furthermore, she's lucky lucy!

Now that the only golden keys left are pisces and libra, these two keys probably belonged to the two celestial mages that layla gave aquarius and cancer to previously. However, according to 224, it wasn't stated that aquarius and cancer made a pact with layla to serve her future children. The possible options of lucy obtaining aquarius and cancer:
a) killed the mages (impossible)
b) mages gave her the keys because they feel old/ want to quit
c) mages gave her the keys because of their friendship with layla

Personally, I think the best option is C which kinda makes everything about layla more mysterious.

Anyway, do you think there may be a chance that zoldeo and layla were from the same guild? It doesn't have to be GH, it could be any guild that zoldeo was in before he quit and joined GH. I'm really curious as to which guild layla used to belong to!

I think aquarius and cancer ended up with lucy because of their contract. Basically when Aquarius, Cancer and Capricorn made their contracts with whoever owned them after layla one of the things they agreed on is that should a descendant of layla become a mage then the contract they have with them would be immediately ended. I think that is what Capricorn was implying.
