On that note...does anyone else just imagine Byoudouin going around attacking random players in other countries and breaking their courts and such with the glowing shot?

Well, he learnt his other moves while travelling, so I guess he didn't insta-kill anyone.

Speed - 5: He has a nimbleness you could not imagine him having from how he looks. He has the strongest leg strength of everyone in the 1st String.

Power - 7: With his boastful Superhuman strength, he is the No.1 in terms of Power of the 1st String. In addition, he has s tough enough body that he could endure a 108th Level Hadoukyuu.

Stamina - 5: With his considerable power, The number of opponents who have to forfeit matches early is quite large. However, even though he rarely has to go through a full set, his stamina is plentiful.

Mental - 5: His never ending smile is the manifestation of someone who has a surplus of power. There has only ever been one time in his entire time at the camp that I have seen Duke get angry.

Technique - 5: Using his racket angle and wrist snap, he can drive through a very accurate shot.

Kurobe Memo:
He has a far surpassing physique due to being half white. He is able to fire off huge shots with his perfected muscle strength and body balance that will strip away the morale of his opponents. Henceforth, I would like him to aim for polishing his speed and stamina even further.

I think the reason that Oni and Byoudouin have immeasurable stats is because they both have techniques that make their stats incalculable. Like Kijin no You na Aura for Oni makes it so it's nigh impossible to tell how strong he actually is since it has never been pushed enough to make such a determination.

Same with Byoudouin's Interdimensional powers.

I know it is, but still it's pretty lame.

Then again, a lot of sports manga do it. In ES21, blacks were the fastest people in the world and were just genetically better than Japanese. Of course, Sena was still essentially equal to Panther, but he was also called Panther, furthering the stereotype.

Krauser was considered super strong and he's white, so maybe Konomi's into furthering the stereotype.

There's also the fact that Japan is known for having some of the world's worst tennis players so... he might be trying to make it seem as if Japanese players are just as good as the rest of the world?

Kei Nishikori's hovering around 12-14 or so, and that's far better than the players from a lot of other countries. He's a better player than any American man right now, regardless of whether John Isner has been in the top 10. Mardy Fish is incapable of remaining healthy, whether it's general injuries or the heart issue, so he doesn't really count, as even if you are a top 10 player, you're supposed to be able to beat other top 10 players, not just lose to them.

The comments on Byoudins power/speed made me laugh, everything else seemed in line with what i was expecting except those. Byoudins profile was kind of zzzz, but i expected that i guess. It's interesting he wants a Shinai, he should go hit up Sanada for that.

The thing about Duke doesn't surprise me. Richard sakata was apparently really fast iirc.

And outside of Nishikori (the most successful JP tennis player of all time) Japans tennis has been sadness,the highest ranked player prior to him was about 46 in the world. Nishikori is a fast,tricky player but he's "weak" in both strokes and especially serve. The only other notable JP guy (Go Soeda) isn't powerful either. (sort of supporting Konomi's notion of Dukes nationality attributing to his power and physique). Japan isn't really a tennis power house and Konomi blatantly and subtly touches on this multiple times in PoT ("An island nation of tennis amateaurs" quote from Nagoya team comes to mind. Michael probably underestimated Nanjirou for that very reason.

We have that list, actually. Well, in terms of the profiles, everyone in the Camp that we know has one. A few of them, like Kadowaki, Hitouji, and some of the fodder players, don't have stats, but they still have a small profile with a memo. I forget if Sasabe and Matsu's younger brother have profiles, however. Everyone who has stats that we listed on that gdoc has a profile as well.

I'm not sure about all of the articles, however.
