Kirihara Akaya
Rikkai's second year ace. He has a complicated personality. Once he turns in to demon mode, he can use unfair play without a second thought.

Supplemental Info:
-The nearby hair salon he goes to is called Barber Mojya
-For the sake of morning training, he uses 3 alarm clocks, but they are often broken once he wakes up.

Height: 168cm
Weight: 61kg
Handedness: Right
Eyesight (Unaided): Right: 1.5 Left: 1.5
Special Techniques: Knuckle Serve, Speedplay, Muga, Devil, Angel, Short Snake
Playstyle: Agressive Baseliner
Shoes: DT Wilson (Dinosphere technology)
Racket: Pro Staff 5.5 Wilson Stretch

School Year: 2nd year, group D, number 6
Birthday: 9/25
Blood Type: Type O
Hobbies: Game (Fighting games),
Family Members: Father, mother, sister
Committee: None
Favorite Color: Primary Color
Favorite Food: Barbecue, Sushi
Thing he wants most: Wii U
Thing you're bad at: Sanada
Specialty outside of tennis: Can eat hot ramen in less than 3 minutes, if he wishes to sleep, he can fall asleep very fast.

Stats:

Speed - 4/5: The reason why he is a regular of the nationals winning team is because he has exceptional speed.

Power - 3/4.5: While his play is focused on technique, once he goes demon, his power increases in order to hurt his opponents.

Stamina - 3/2: Once in demon form, his stamina goes down faster. While he must increase his stamina balancing, he is bad at doing balanced stamina allocation.

Mental - 2/5: He has the bad habit of looking down on his opponents. Once he goes demon, his feeling of invincibility is a double edged sword that increases his weaknesses.

Technique - 3/1.5: With an accurate stroke, he aims to get a new time record on his matches.

Extra Notes:
On angel form, he can increase his attack power while staying calm.
Once he goes in to demon form, he becomes very aggressive. His wish to hurt others intensifies.
It doesn't matter if it's the opponent or the partner, he makes no distinction.

Kurobe Memo:
He can't become a first class player if he doesn't learn how to control his excitement. He has to do his own emotion control instead of relying on his seniors, once he can do that by himself he will be able to make true use of his abilities.

This is interesting. It might mean that he can use Sane Devil Mode outside of being partnered with Shiraishi as long as he learns to control himself. Wonder if we're gonna see that evolution during the WC.

Akiba to finish off the old 1st string would be nice. I already translated the supplemental information above, so for him only stats and the Kurobe memo are missing. Other than that, maybe the current selection would be interesting? So Shiraishi, Akutsu, Marui, Fuji (already translated stats a few pages back), Niou, Gin, Kite, Oishi and Nakagauchi. In general I'm curious about almost everyone's information though, so if you have any other personal favourites just go with those I'd say.

Scounting Report Page 22 File 1
(Losers side)
Sanada Genichirou
VS Yukimura Seichi
Score 1-7
Match Summary
He uses his secret techniques FuuRinKaInZanRai, but they do not work against Yukimura. Instead, he loses his 5 senses and suffers defeat. But towards the end, the black aura he releases show his hidden potential!
Extra notes:
The fierce attacks of the Emperor are nothing against the Child of God.
Inside of losing his 5 senses, his sleeping power awakens.
Coach Notes:
? - High evaluation of his metal strength to defeat himself: In the abyss of despair of losing sight and touch, he could moving his body after overcoming his fear. We can say his spiritual strength has a strong value.
? - His muscles lack flexibility: The reason why he fell to Yips was because his movements were too uniform/standardized. His body joints need more flexibility.
Kurobe - Shoot decisions need to be improved: No matter how strong the move is, it must be chosen based on the opponent and the circumstances. Otherwise it is meaningless.

I'm having a hard time getting the coaches's name... The fanbook doesn't have furigana :( sorry guys. Anyways, the first comment is by the long haird coach that uses a pony tail, the second one I believe is by the short haired physical coach.

---------- Post added at 06:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:37 AM ----------

Akiba Kouyou
Speed 3 - his leg speed is below average. By using his reach, he can extend his defensive field, being able to dispatch of any ball.
Power 5 - His height provides both a strong smash and a strong serve. On the future, strengthening his back should be a heavy focus.
Stamina 4 - Long matches used to be his weakness, but he has surpassed it. He used to be picky about food, but after living overseas, that changed.
Mental 3 - While he used to be weak during decisive points, after facing powerful players overseas, he has grown tougher.
Technique 4 - he possess high technique. His ball judgement makes you feel a taste of maturity.

Kurobe Memo: Even though he lost to Irie, it is too soon to wither. After making use of the experience gained overseas, I expect even greater leaps. He has sharpened basics and personal strong techniques, he has a surpassing heart that allows him to aim at higher positions.

Extra note:
He has become better at drawn out fights after going to Europe and China, where he has progressed. He leaves a good impression of liking proper manners through his greetings. (Since there is a lack of furigana, there are some words that I'm translating based on my kanji knowledge/intuition, because it would take ridiculously long to check every word without furigana)

Thanks a lot Awennor, keep up the good work you're doing great man!

Anyways, my requests are the rest of the MS selection if you don't mind.

I find the Sanada vs Yukimura's match report very interesting. So Sanada really needs something similar to Akutsu's style like Yukimura said back then in the G10 matches, and the coaches practically say the same. If he had more flexibility he wouldn't be a victim of Yips, he even realizes this himself. I'm really interested to see how strong Sanada could become if he gets more flexible, guess we'll find that out in the WC.

Fuji
The pride of Seigaku: a genius who can stop his opponents by using all kinds of counters.
Additional Data: He has the training camp create him a full course of spicy food once a week.

Hobbies: Collecting Cactus and taking pictures.
Member of anything in school: Creating the graduation album.
Things he is good other than tennis: Skiing, ice skating, winter sports.

Kurobe Memo: With a beautiful tennis, there is no doubt he is a genius. If he wasn't so concerned about beauty, he could grow from "skillful" to "strong", couldn't him?

Extra Notes:
He is very much aware that he is a genius and he doesn't hide it. Tezuka's existence is his sole heavy baggage.
The balls he can launch while keeping his beautiful forms are the proof that he is a genius.

---

I believe I'll stop translating every single bit of information, I'll try to get the stats information, character descriptions, extra info and coach notes, adding anything I find interesting as an extra. But typing the name of the racket the character uses isn't too exciting.

Their names are Saitou and Tsuuge.

Added Fuji and Kirihara to the OP. Will try to get the rest done over the course of the week.

Thought about this some more and maybe it's because you're more likely to be affected by Yips if you feel like you've exhausted all your options, but the more flexible you are, the more likely it is that you still have more options you can try to use to overcome Yukimura. Both Sanada and Ryoma threw everything they had at Yukimura to no avail, and while Ryoma gained upgrades eventually he had already been affected by that point. In Kintarou's case it might be that while his style is unorthodox, it still follows the same patterns all the time (or used to since he apparently fixed that during the camp to some degree).

To complement what you said, that specific comment is accompanied by a manga panel that has Sanada return the balls very awkwardly. What I think it means is that if Sanada was more flexible, he would do better in a rally and maybe be able to score some points against Yukimura, without being overwhelmed and the rally always being at Yukimura's pace.

I'll appreciate it if you can finish off the old 1st stringer too. Also, if the scouting report of the fight against the 1st stringer give any extra info we don't see on scene, that'll also nice.

@ Kaoz, since some data is already translate (Like the twins for example). can you update the 1st post with it so Awennor wouldn't translate overlap data?

---------- Post added at 10:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:48 PM ----------

With Akaya Mental stat description, could it be that Mental is how confident you are?

I'm planning to. It just takes a while to add all the formatting, so I only got two done last night.

---------- Post added at 10:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:19 AM ----------

Added Date, Ban and Hakamada to the OP. Also added some small bits to their profiles that I didn't understand well last time, so if you're interested in them it's probably a good idea to check them out again. Gonna get to the twins and Akiba later.

With Akaya Mental stat description, could it be that Mental is how confident you are?
That's probably part of it, but then you have someone like Ohmagari who has a low rating because he's actually overconfident. The broadest definition that comes to my mind right now is how well you handle your emotions maybe, so including pressure of any kind, getting carried away and so on, and all of that averages out to something then.

Akutsu Jin
He would be top class in any sport he plays. He possess an athletic body and body skills that are ideal.

Additional Notes: Every day a mail comes from his mother and he ignores it... Is what you would think, he always replies with a long answer.
Playstyle: 無手勝流 mutekatsuryuu (the kanjis are: Nothing, hand, victory, flow/style. So kinda like a style of winning without lifting a finger. After researching on a Japanese dictionary, it appears to mean winning without fighting, by using strategy, but it can also mean to just do whatever you wish, fighting however you want)
Hobby: if you ask him, he says "I have no such thing", but in truth it's motocross.
Favorite color: Silver (explains the hair)
Thing he likes: Mont Blanc
What he wants the most right now: new motocycle´
Things he is bad at: There's no way there is such a thing.
Things he is good at other than tennis: Good memory.

Speed 4: Despite his size, he has great speed. Also, his form is very personal.
Power 5: His body strength is good, so even without tennis theory, he can do shots with good power in a fashion that cannot be copied.
Stamina 4: He has good stamina in spite of not doing regular tennis training. The biggest worry is his blank time away from tennis.
Mental 3: "The world is divided in two parts: himself and others" is his basic principle. He does not suffer from pressure. However, the fact he gets bored easily is his weakness.
Technique 4: Even without rigorous training and research he can use high level techniques because of his sense.

Extra Notes:
Because he looks scary, he has trouble interacting with others.
In order to understand his own strength, he has started to desire to obtain a greater power.
He does not like to be ordered and solves problems in his own ways.

Kurobe Note:
We are fortuned that a player such as him has chosen tennis. Of course, that is only if he maintains a heart that aims higher and continues to improve. I pray that he does not move to other sports.

(No comments on his relationship to Ryoma... :( Another great plot point not explored)

Yes, pretty much emotional control. Ryoma's whole "best tension" thing back then is mainly because of his mental, for example. Being able to remain positive and focused in spite of being very tired. Stuff like Sanada swinging even in Yips is also mentioned as part of mental strength.

This is a bit different from what I expected. I figured his Mental was a 3 because he's easily provoked and that this would be updated to a 4 based on the 2/6 match. Now I'm not sure anymore though.

Marui Bunta
A positive mood maker that calls his own player "tensai-teki" (genius-like). Famous for his impressive play.

Extra info:
He sent the photo he has with Kimisama to his brothers, to show it off.
To celebrate Yukimura leaving the hospital, he created a super big cake. He ate most of it by himself.

Foods he likes: any food.
Thing he wants: Cotton candy machine
Things he is bad at: Heavy work
Other than tennis: Bowling, baking cake

Speed 4: While his normal play does not force his speed, during critical moments he moves at full speed.
Power 2: Even though he plays an aggressive style, it's better to say that he aims well instead of playing by strength.
Stamina 3: He does not like drawn out matches. He does not enjoy getting tired. However, since he is a regular of Rikkaidai, he has a decent level of stamina.
Mental 3: Between the players who are at the genius level, he does not often leave his position. That must be because even in a pinch his spiritual strength does not waver.
Technique 5: His volleys are genius-like. It is not something you can attain by training.

Extra Notes:
No other to call it than a wonderful technique (the myogis). The opponent that receives them will definitely sigh.
When cornered, he can stand his ground with his new technique, showing one a tough side.
In this place, without looking away, he will definitely find the weaknesses of his opponents (bit weirdly worded phrase...)

Kurobe Memo:
He is capable of play a normal person can't imagine. He does not only indulge himself in his techniques, being able to do a commited role aswell. I recommend that he stops eating so much candy, for his conditioning.

---------- Post added at 05:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:21 AM ----------

I'll likely do Niou and Oishi later.

Awennor, can you tell me what it says for Mutsu Yuuma's (No. 15) general supplemental information? It's the one part of his profile I can't figure out for the life of me.

Additional Data
* He is actually a solid, reliable person.
