Hi and welcome to my review , i am doing it because i got some free time rigth now , i don´t know if i will be able to do a weekly review but i will like too , but for now lets start. This is my first review and my english is not 100% perfect, so please understand if i have a few mistakes xD.
One piece chapter 628 : Cleansing
We start this week chapter with a preview of the new techniques of the straw hats, Oda really like to tease his readers and he has taken time in show us some of the new moves after the two years , but the fishman island arc is reaching a point in where we are finally going to see the development of the characters, finally!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets see what moves are shown in this page :
Luffy: What can i say about luffy , here it's only showing his “second gear”, i can´t tell if it´s the partial “second gear” or his full “second gear” , but it doesn´t give us anything new , but i hope to see his new moves whit the haki in them .
Zoro: This pic of zoro show him in his battle mode (you know whit the bandana in his head ) and his samurai outfit loose, what´s interesting is the background, here we can see the shape of a demon behind him, this is very common when zoro is performing a technique ( it always appears in the background the figure that represents the technique), so this show that this pose is in fact a new move of zoro, probably the name of the move is something like devil (satan, beelzebub, lord of flies , 4kids or whatever name you give them ).
Sanji: Can´t say much about sanji either , like luffy he doesn´t give us anything new , his Diable jambe seems to be more powerfull to the point that it can create fire. I can´t tell because of the zoom, but it would be cool if he could use his Diable jambe in both of his legs now.
Usoop: Just like sanji and luffy , here he show us the black kabuto and several pop green of differents colors, they looks just like candy to me XD.
Chopper: Here we can see a new transformation in chopper , after the two years he seems to have developed several new forms, but this one it´s really wierd , more than a new one it looks like a mix of the forms that we alredy know . He have bigger horns (horn point) , longer arms and legs ( jump point ) a fluffy fur ( guard point) and his normal head (brain point) . i don´t know if this one is a mix of several forms or just a new form but i can´t wait to see chopper in action!!!!!
Franky: franky now show us a new cannon that pops from his shoulder, i have to say that franky still have a lot of weapons to show and i can´t wait to see it.
Brook: Brook is the one that shows the more interesting skill to me , some people say after seeing this pic that after the two years brooke can remove his head of his body, even though this should be pretty useful ( and funny) to remove brooke biggest weak point ( his hair) i don´t think it´s possible to do it .
So what it´s brooke doing in the pic??? , i will tell you. He is crying at loud because he have a bunch of spirits around him, thats rigth people after the two years brook can now call spirits whit his music and use them in battle ( explaining the soul king title) .He is probbly using the powers of the Yomi Yomi no Mi to summon the souls of other people. I wonder how this power works in battle but its really funny that brook its scared of his own power XP.
Nami: Here we can see nami whit his new clima-tact , she must have modified the old one or created a new one, in any case it seems that she can create new clime bubbles that have inside clouds whit differents effects ( cloud of rain, thunder, etc...)
Robin: Last but not least important robin show us that she can now use his Hana Hana no Mi to the point where she can create one or several clones of herself. This could mean that sanji can finally have his dreams come true
.
After that analysis , lets get to rest of the chapter.
After the flashback we see the people in the fishman island stepping the fumi-e , here we can see how much pain this cause to the people , they feel like they are betraying the memory of his beloved queen by doing this kind of shameful action but at the same time they fear for their lives.
At that moment Hordy shows in all the monitors of fishman island and gives his message to all Ryuuguu Kingdom, at this point i am rather impressed that fishhman island does not know who Hordy is , we can tell by the people reaction that hordy was known by them, but only a little and they didn´t know what were his true intentions. The shocking news that Hordy want to be the new king surpirse everyone and rise the question: where's the king Neptune ????.
Hordy then starts speeking saying that all the guys of Fishman District are migrating to the Ryuuguu Kingdom , this suprise all the kingdom but hordy explains that all of the Fishman District share the hate for the humans and if the population of the kingdom doesn´t share this hate they should just go. Later hordy begins a speech about how the humans killed the Queen Otohime and what kind of monster are the humans, he belives that you must never trust in a human and that if you belive in them they will just betray you.
I have to say that Hordy really seems to be pissed off because of the death of the Queen i just think that deep down he its just like Fisher Tiger, he want peace and harmony between the humans and the fishmen but he just can´t bring himself to do it
Hordy continues and say that the royal family was a disgrace for his actions and show the people that he have king Neptunen as a hostage stating how weak neptune has became (emotional and physically) .
nami just say that this probably is his fault ( lets say 50/50 XP ) , i have to say that Jimbei expression was really funny , he was probably thinking WTF. Hordy then says that in three hours he will take the life of his precious king and after that he will kill all the people that put their Signature in the Queen Otohime proposal, and this way cleaning the race of the fishmen . well stepping the fumi-e was to easy to let the people go free, whit the signatures they are doomed

Of course we can see the fear that all the fishmen have because of Hordy threat and more than that we can see how much of impotence the Neptune brothers feel, from one side they want to protec the memory and whishes of his mother but at the same time the things that hordy says are probably what they feel deep down in their heart.
Finally hordy show that he captured Zoro, Usopp and Brook stating that after the King is dead he is going to kill Luffy, to send a message of the power of the fishmen to the humans .
After this i have to say that Zoro, Usopp and Brook interaction was really funy . first we have the mental powers of Usopp (a new power of usopp , probably haki XP) and Usopp imitating robin was so funny (this is probably robin clone) . but the best part have to be Brook making a skull joke to the fishmen, he could have save the day but he couldn´t resist to scare the poor guy xD.
We move to the poneglyph and we see that this one its more like a messege to someone named “Joy Boy”. I think that this “Joy Boy” probably have some relation whit the “ D will” and the tale that Roger was telling to whitebeard. Just because the people whit the “D” seems to have a lot of joy.
Later we see the straw hats and Princess Shirahoshi in the move , whit luffy really happy because of the raise in his bounty, i do find wierd that jinbei didn´t know about luffy raise of bounty, i suppose he was doing a trainig similar to luffy in where he was isolated. Also we know why Hordy teamed up whit Decken, its because he is terrified of Princess Shirahoshi ability to call the sea kings even he knows that the sea kings are too powerfull for him to handle . i fin this rather strange since he was controlling a few in the beginning of the arc , i guess that the ability of the Princess Shirahoshi is soo great that can control the sea king even if they are tamed.
then the Princess says that she is aware of this great power but that she have never use it (deliberately at least),afte this Luffy just want to kick Hordy ass so he just tell megalo to take him to Ryuuguu Kingdom and end whit this, leaving sanji to take care of the Princess ( luffy really don´t know how much of a pervert sanji is ) , but when he is about to go jinbe stops him.
Jinbei think that this problem its something that only matters to the fishmen and that a human should stay out of this. Probably Jinbei feels guilty because he think that he should maintain Fisher Tiger ideals and if he did not leave Fishman District, this would not have happened. But Luffy says that his nakamas are in danger and if he don´t want luffy to do anything he will have to stop him if he can .
We end this chapter whit a unexpected outcome as Luffy and Jimbei prepare to fight.
Closing comments
Very good chapter, we get to know Hordy plans and get a feeling of whats its going to happen next, the people reaction in the kingom was great , it really shows that the Queen Otohime work was not pointless and the fishmen really are close of migrating to the “human world” , we can see how the brothers are going to be involved in defeating Hordy since they are not going to be quiet about this threat to the kindom and more important , to his family.
The situation whit the three Stooges its really something that i will like to see , my guess is that the neptune brothers are going to save them , just because they know the Ryuuguu Palace well . as for Jinbei i have mixed feelings about his reaction, for one side i understand that he have his pride as a fishmen and he need to solve this problem by his own , but Jinbei its smart and he should admit that this is too much for him to handle. But hey at least this reaction has something good : !!! Luffy vs Jinbei fight!!!
