As Mihawk said in Dressrosa flashback, if a blade gets nicked, it's a shame on a Swordsman - Haki is the only way to become the world's strongest Swordsman.

Haki is also a part Swordsmanship just like it is for any form of fighting. You can't be the best or strongest without Haki.
They received similar training - the entire training was for the New World, and that was Haki basics.

Luffy and Zoro went through similar training - only difference is one fights with a Sword and the other fights with a DF.



He knew about Black Blades pre-skip.
He just learnt more about Black Blades in Wano - but nonetheless, above shows Mihawk was teaching Zoro Haki - even told him no alcohol until he learnt it.



Zoro didn't learn Haki in Alabasta, what he learned was the breath of all things which isn't Haki. If he did, he'd have been able to cut Enel or sense him. He couldn't do either, so he definitely wasn't a Haki user at that time.

The only thing Luffy learned from anyone in Wano was how to no-contact hit people with Armament Haki - everything else, he literally figured out by himself.

Luffy never got taught about King's Haki coating, he figured it out on his own against Kaido of all people, Zoro needed to be told - means Zoro is slower.

Zoro didn't even know he was leaking King's Haki which again proves.... Luffy's got better awareness and understanding of Haki than Zoro.

Luffy's been figuring out Haki on his own way faster than Zoro:

• Future Sight
• Sensing Emotions
• King's Haki Coating

... all figured out on his own.

Zoro has literally not figured out anything regarding Haki since the time-skip.

If Zoro was faster, he'd literally have figured out King's Haki before Luffy.

lol what... why do you think Zoro and Luffy operates in the same timezone? They literally fought different opponents, and their experience is different leading to different development.
Did Zoro fight Katakuri needing him to develop Future Sight as a counter?
Was Zoro's final opponent Kaido needing him to coat COC to break Kaido's hide?

Not to mention infusing COC into your own arms and infusing COC into a weapon may be 2 seperate concepts entirely. You assuming it's basically the same thing, is a big if and full of holes.

As far as the story has told us haki emission and coating a weapon with haki is fundamentally the same skill. This was basically explained by Hyoguro except he used wano terminology for haki.

Nope, just watched Mr.Moj zoro’s character review & or Oda has choppy writing and the most logical sensual explanations aren’t the answers lol…

Zoro is a moron. Pre-TS Zoro just cut harder each and everytime for his opponents. It was only the Mr.1 where Zoro had to use his brain and remember the BOAT….Post-TS Zoro, actually tries to use his brain cells and find out a way besides brute strength to defeat his opponents.

Also note Zoro hit Kaido with Ashura..He responds huh what are you talking about? That was my all…

Enma awakens his COC & ACOC; BP pass out behind him, King refers to his COC, Zoro again dismisses King.

So yea, Zoro was very brutish in how he approached combat always getting super annoyed, his opponents didn’t fight him straight up..After the time skip, Zoro is much more calm about. & Finds the work around on how to win…

Now as for Oda..Decebt character development but my gosh, how many instances has Zoro’s incompetence come up?? Lunarian design on the Pacifista, Dragging out Egghead’s fight, now he’s clueless to CoC..despite mentioning Luffy had to had it…

O yea and of course Luffy & Zoro don’t talk about things like hey, you have CoC too, did you see what I did to Kaido? Yup, you can attack with ACoC, look like this! Lmfao!! Not to be phecishius…I find this annoying or at least its execution to be annoying. As the above mentioned reasons Zoro is just stupider yet smarter in fights lost time skip. I Cana felt him not having mastery over ACoC but to be oblivious that he was using it or possess it, is crazy work…There is also the point, The wings were never portrayed as equals for all the narrative suggestions. This seems to be a way to level them out for real.
