IMO these aint the worst fights... Oda is on a dilema rushing and getting focus on some parts, we caught on middle of this and result on some parts being rushed (like Zoro "remembering" how to use ACoC and probably finishing Sommers in 2 chapter straight) and focusing (like this Sanji part, we're basically on seconf chapter of his fight and no sight of CoC or ACoC).
-----------------------------------
I expected at least Sanji showing some black lightnings after reviving these memories, but maybe we still not seing Sanji using ACoC, maybe a even hot burning leg that surpass the durability of iron heart, making him less dependable on CoC.
The moment Kuma saw Sanji prepared to kill himself to subs Zoro, Kuma already knew Sanji issue and Kamabaka is the best place for Sanji, the guru guru boy.
It's not that Ivankov is whom he finds scary.
Ivankov reveals his greatest truth, and that's what scare him the most.
It's like someone who tells Person A that he has a gambling problem, it's not that he hates that person, he just dislikes the fact this person is bringing up a truth he doesn't want to confront.
People that tell you the truths about yourself when in denial are people you tend to want to avoid.
Sanji accepting that he needs to accept and love himself for who he is despite the fact he comes from a corrupt Bloodline doesn't mean he deserves pain, torture and death. Just because his family have done evil things doesn't mean he needs to reject himself, he can accept himself and prove he can be better than Germa.
Sanji pretty much thinks he is trash that doesn't deserve to exist because he sees his bloodline as a sin essentially. Glad to see Sanji's about to awaken his King's Haki.

Sanji the man without a sense of self was sent to the man with the most perfect sense of self. Now this is some excellent long term writing and what makes it even better is that Sanji because of his distain for the island had suppressed that lesson.
At this point, I'm kinda over it. We know Luffy is a god, Zoro and Sanji are demigods. Lets get on with it. I wish oda gave the other strawhats just even half of the gas he gave those 3

Oda Is cut from the old guard of story telling like dbz and Naruto. Take Dragonball z. It started with everyone pitching in, then it became the saiyan show. Same with naruto, the cast was great, but thst quickly fell by side. Yes the main character is the main character, but dang the others are useless most if the time. The giants are fighting for their lives and as usually nami, ussop, brook, and chopper are on tje sideline crying and begging
Unlike Zoro, who seems to magically remember a crucial information that someone who aims to be the best shouldn't have forgotten, everything about Sanji makes sense.
It saddens me that they had to fight these bums to awaken their strongest ability.
Talk about anticlimactic.
That's the worst part. They're all there watching a woman being defrosted or inside a big ass box like come on, the island is literally burning, tf you doing ?
Ooookey, so once Sanji accepted his weakness nightmare disapeared? Well, that makes complete sense but is also kinda hilarious because if Killinghams victim isn't afraid of nightmare he's trying to torment them with he becomes powerless all of the sudden. I bet that Sanji got extremely pissed that Killingham tried to weaponize image of someone who did soo much for him. I mean Sanji may not like Iva but since he owes him a lot he deffinetly is very grateful for everything. Ehh, to bad that there's break next week. I would love to see Sanji beating the shit out of Killingham. Although weirdly enough I don't hate him as much as Sommers. Probably because he doesn't seem as sadistic as Sommers. Anyway, it's still pretty early but this seems like good chapter.
I can’t help but think about Ivankov and Crocodile. If Ivankov was Sanji’s greatest nightmare because he learnt the deep weakness of Sanji’s heart, then maybe it was the same thing with Crocodile. He also talked about revealing Crocodile’s weakness if he didn’t behave in Impel Down which may indicate that Crocodile spent some time on Momoiro Island after he was defeated by Whitebeard.
Ivankov also happened to notice that Dragon was looking towards east and made a connection about his loved ones / family being located East Blue - which was revealed later to be Dragon’s a actual greatest weakness. This makes Ivankov a super interesting character. He may have the ability to study characters which enables him to identify people’s fears/weaknesses - like Luffy has the ability to make people follow/help him. I wish we could learn much more about him. He was already awesome as a kid in God Valley. I hope we see Ivankov using his analytic powers to help Dragon plan his war against the Celestial dragons.
Sanjis power ups were kinda lame not gonna lie. A hidden genetic trait which activated at the right time and a mental barrier which kept his potential at bay.
