I appreciate how powerful the story of ace shows ace as the monstrously strong prodigy he was
He however got bad luck against Facing whitebeard Blackbeard and akainu , remember he did block an attack from Kuzan

Chapter 4 was great! Definitely a good showing for Ace throughout this entire series. Even got a new move out of it.

Roger showing up in his Mufasa cameo as a choice though, lol.

I always figured there was more to see in the Great Flame Commandement series; this one tops even the Flame Emperor he used against Blackbeard in scale and epicness.

What I liked even more than the fight, is what this final chapter gave us regarding what happened to the Spade Pirates but the best part was undoubtedly the sake ceremony. I don't think I've seen Ace look so humble and his words were so touching.

This whole spin-off exceeded expectations. Chapter 3 and (especially) 4 gave me goosebumps. Wonder if we'll see Deuce in the main story at some point, even if it's just a one-off panel. Or some of the other Spade pirates... It would be fun to see Skull meet Brook and go crazy over seeing an actual living skeleton. :tem

Ace strong dislike for roger still takes me a back really
I would really love deuce to meet luffy really
The imagery and the fights were amazing , this needs an amazing OVA adaptation
I wish ace was still around and I really want the world to know his story , it just feels way too cut short

also Ngl this been better than any one piece chapter we’ve received in ages

At the very least we should get to meet Deuce in the main story; considering he was the POV of the novels and its adaptation. My hope is we find that he's really the one pushing a lot of stories behind Luffy and Sabo at the World Economy News Paper. Or as Morgans said, Deuce does write a lot of other really good articles, so maybe we already know about one or two of them.

I feel like we're due some kind of arc where we inevitably get a scene of Luffy (as PK) at the World News Headquarters, confused, and Morgans kicked back at some desk requesting an interview with the new Pirate King.

These are actually good points, especially considering the Morgans is, technically, going against the wishes of the WG as well. Even if Deuce isn't involved, it does feel like Morgans will want to get in contact with Luffy at some points, especially with the upcoming changes. Deuce being involved would just tie up one of the multiple loose ends that Ace left behind.

It's so hard to rank him... still saying he is YC3 after that is almost insulting

Luffy's reaction to any interview would be hilarious. "You're the walking bird-guy I saw at Sanji's wedding. Interview? newspaper? I don't wanna!" But I don't think they met, actually.

But also, Luffy really only knows Ace from his youth, and not the pirate he became. I think as you say "loose ends", if there's of that, Deuce would be the best person to answer that. And maybe stories of how similar/different their journeys were.

Now I think about it, Luffy will find a reason to overthrow the current WG (through OP). If Deus is a journalist figure, then doesn't it make sense that Luffy does meet him? Through Deus, they can let the whole world know that Luffy is about to save them. Now, instead of a country hoping for Luffy to defeat the antagonist, this time it will be the whole world.

That whole spin-off was awesome, thanks for sharing!
It really redeems Ace in my mind.
And goddam WB is the real GOAT of the OP-verse

Ace unlucky
Remember Blackbeard was strong and regarded enough to be a whitebeard commander and shanks respected just how strong blaxkbeard was
And akainu one shotting is complicated , ace could probably dodge and last much longer in a fight in a normal one on one
