i don't see how it is a good idea. we will have to vote for one, but two will be selected. because fair votes will go mostly for one character, there is a big chance that popularity will determine the next one to qualify, not strength.

I suggest to add those new groups of second round to Groups and Rounds Thread.

I would be great if we would have a group: Papug, Carue, Keimi, and Saint Shalulia.

He's one of the 3 admirals, and probably the fastest DF user ever.
I have checked twice and I couldn't find him in any group!!

Please, you need to add him to this tournament.
Replace some useless people like Duval with him in the next round.

Group 8 as 3 losers remaining (Gin, Paulie and Kalifa).
You might want to add him to this group (although he wouldn't have much challenge )

Fun thing - why isn't anyone discussing the groups rather than just going by power levels? Has everyone forgotten, Enel vs Luffy, Buggy vs Mihawk and Mr. 3 vs Magellan? Seriously it is One Piece, try discussing the groups and you will see this tournament is more about discussion than voting ...

Well if we never saw Luffy vs Enel, in a tournament Luffy will lose easily, since yes Enel is really powerful, we will never see these match ups, but we sure know something about the powers of the characters, more elaboration will lead to more realization, reading other arguments as well. Yes, it does require more effort by the voter, but that is the fun thing about the tournament. The reason why we started it - the discussion.

u didn't get me. i'm not talking about luffy vs enel. I'm talking about all the guys like Gold Roger, BB crews etc... that we never seen fighting in that tournament. we can't do much about them

I thought certainly the rules would stay the same.
I thought certainly if you were supposed to vote for 2 people to advance, then you would be able to vote for 2 people.

The voting system is confusing, inconsistent, and gives faulty results, since people end up voting opposite what they meant to.

i suggest to reset this whole round, to randomly mix the group again. and to make vote for the loser like in the first round. now it's a mess

During first round, in this thread we had a sum up of whole current groups, so that you could navegate easily particular theads about particular groups. That was useful because an user could be interested in some groups and not interested in anothers. So, in that case, that thread was useful because let user avoid opening each thread to find interesting ones.

Would you please add the same sum up for the second round? It could be in the same thread

It is actually the very same thread, the groups didn't change other than one of the characters losing. The losers are also shown in the thread marked as red. It's not quite as easy anymore now, is it?

Well, we did read it. It says, "Which two will advance?" And you can only choose one.

Logically, the only way to answer this question is to choose the loser, like in the previous round. There is no other way to pick two (that's what the question asks). If you wanted people to choose only one of two people to advance, then you should have made that the question. Like say, "Two will advance, choose one of them." Or just use selection boxes for the poll, so people can actually choose 2.

The feedback you are getting is that the voting system is confusing (and it is). Regardless of whether you think so or not, if you want to make the Tournament a success then this is an important issue. If you want people to focus on the character battles, then you need to make the voting system clear and consistent.

There's no reason the voting system should be this hard.

While I can't agree with the assumption that the way the question was asked, implies chosing the loser, the changes are admittedly confusing.
The question is formulated positively, so "logically" imo, you would vote positively. Had we asked in singular "Who will advance", there would have been not a problem I take it, other than people feeling betrayed because the second placed will do so as well. So the 2 options 1 vote is the real problem?

Why was the voting changed from negative to positive in the first place? Because many people back then already complained they had voted wrong and didn't read the polls question beforehand. Now the same thing happend again in the other direction. The interesting part is this: only a few people actually ask about it here and elsewhere, others don't read it and vote. Not all of them vote wrong, so some must have understood it. (Let me tell you, from what I can see, actually the majority got it correct so far. Or rather, according to the "general opinion" or "powerlevel" :P)

In any case, giving one vote for two options was done on purpose, so giving multiple choices was out of question. The outcome was quite diffrent than expected though.
Whatever it's worth, these are "just" preliminaries and the real tournament will be way more confusing easier to understand.

Well everyone may have a different favorite right . We'll just choose the 2 with the most votes , that's all there is to it

And i'm sorry 'cause there were many people who found difficulties in this round . We just tried to adapt at the people needs . Seems it didn't worked quite how we expected . Next round will be better Thank You *bow*
