I’m curious what this community thinks, especially with the story heading toward the final saga soon.

Interesting take.I answered with this a while ago. I believe it something stolen from Imu. Whatever it is it is keeping him from completely taking over the planet.
The One Piece that Imu needs to complete his plan of total domination. Joyboy stole it and therefore provided hope for the next Joyboy to find it and liberate the planet.
I believe that was the intention behind Joyboy hiding it so well.
But I also believe it will allow anyone's "will" to then have the power to enforce itself over the world.
Maybe he did. 900 years is a long time. I would assume Pirates have known the significance of the Poneglyphs initially and they fought off any attempt from the WG to attain them.Interesting take.
I am wondering what makes Imu hasnt done anything to get one piece though. Even Roger pirates are just chilling still.
Nothing stopping them
Tell ya what, we had a big back and forth about this and I now think this is possible. But what I think, is that it isn't a Poneglyph from the same era as all the others.. I think it might be one from the world before. The current Poneglyphs seem to be from Joyboy's era, maybe they got the idea to make them from the One Piece? Like it existed as a way to record history and then they made their own.Not the fanciest answer, but answers don't need to be fancy to be true.
As far as the Manga tells me, One Piece is literally the Poneglyphs that exist at Laughtale.
We know the History of the world hold so much information:
- The Void Century - Even Elbaph tells us there have been 2 different epocshs/eras where the world was destroyed? So, we're possibly talking about not just 100 years of history, but as far back as 3000 and the 100 years we're looking to uncover will be key to unravelling perhaps, the beginning of the world.
- The fact that Vegapunk also said he needs to read the Void Century because it has the answer to technology even his genius brain can't create.
- The truth to uncover the lies of the WG - WG has roughly 200 nations allied with it, the truth will destroy that.
Basically, Poneglyphs on laughtale. History is the most important thing in the history. Even in the current arc, what's one of the first things the God Knights do? Burn the books detailing history.
Poneglyphs only existed from 800 years ago during Joyboy's era, so it's from Joyboy's era.Tell ya what, we had a big back and forth about this and I now think this is possible. Fair points. But I think you are approaching this too logically. I think outside of the box thinking is needed to figure out what Oda's biggest secret is.Poneglyphs only existed from 800 years ago during Joyboy's era, so it's from Joyboy's era.
From what Dr. Clover said, Joyboy realised that they were going to lose the war, so they decided to use Wano's craftsmanship to create Poneglyphs and document history for future generations.
There isn't much evidence that Poneglyphs were a thing prior to this.
Just from coming into Elbaph, we already see Vegapunk found some piece of technology that has been estimated to be roughly 3000 years old.
We have countless races that have been erased.
We also know from Jarul that the world was destroyed through raising the sea levels, and we can assume this has happened on a global scale, twice at least.
I think the history from the Void Century will detail everything that happened during the Void Century, and it will also include things from the Ancient past too.
As it is also called the Void Century, it's probably the most important information regarding what the WG do not want known. Very possible it also pieces together portions of history that go further, and adds more detailed information that Clover and co. wouldn't understand without this specific knowledge.
And as Tamago said, there are 9 Ponelgyphs in Laughtale called the "Real (Japanese pronounce it as "RIO") Poneglyph), this is why I think it's called One Piece - 9 Poneglyphs that come together to form the Real Poneglyph, but of course, time will tell.
If it's not logical, then it doesn't make sense. No matter how much outside the box Oda thinks, it still has to make sense within the confines of the story.Fair points. But I think you are approaching this too logically. I think outside of the box thinking is needed to figure out what Oda's biggest secret is.
Because if you look at it logically, the most logical answer is a Sun, the energy source that powered Uranus and what Vegapunk was trying to create for humanity. The Mural shows Imu holding it after all.
Anyways, don't wanna get stuck in another debate with you. I just think we might not rule anything out at this point.
That's what I'm saying though bro. The One Piece was the power source. If we look at the picture of Imu, he's holding the Sun and fighting the Sun God.If it's not logical, then it doesn't make sense. No matter how much outside the box Oda thinks, it still has to make sense within the confines of the story.
Imu also has no power-source, otherwise they wouldn't have needed the motherflame for Uranus. Whatever it is that has this power to power everything freely, all we know is that it's technology only the Ancient Kingdom had access to.
I think one simply has to read the story and accept it for what it is, there's no big secret. What we really don't know are the details, we already know the gist of it.
That doesn't make sense. That's what I'm saying though bro. The One Piece was the power source. If we look at the picture of Imu, he's holding the Sun and fighting the Sun God.
Yeah this is falling into another pointless argument where you don't budge and we talk in circles. I'm just going to give you a friendly reminder that you argued your version of logic before and were absolutely wrong. So your logic isn't categorically right so stop talking like it is. Allow wiggle room, we are all guessing here. That doesn't make sense.
The One Piece is in Laughtale. Unless you're claiming Joyboy stole the power source which you're claiming to be One Piece.
It makes no sense.
If Joyboy apparently stole the "power source" which is what you're insinuating... then Imu should have lost and there would be no story to tell.
The WG have been in power, or rather Imu has been in power for almost a 1,000 years. So, this is an impossible incoherent claim.
If anything, the Sun represents Uranus, an Ancient Weapon.
The entire reason the world has been submerged into the sea is because Uranus destroying nations raises the sea levels.
Joyboy had Pluton built in order to be able to fight against the WG, so if anything, the Sun really is Uranus. Pluton simply wasn't used because it was too powerful which is why they decided to hide it.
Like I said, what you're saying doesn't make sense. Thinking outside the box doesn't mean not making sense.
All the facts so far tell us the One Piece is history, not a power source. And Vegapunk said the there was an Ancient Fuel that power EMETH... and he can only learn about using this energy that is freely around the world by learning about the Void Century.
Based on this, we know that Imu didn't have any Energy Source, this was something the Ancient Kingdom discovered... and if Imu had such power, Uranus wouldn't need the mother flame. This in itself is questions your theory.
Like I said, can be as imaginative as you want, but if it is not in line with the facts laid down, then it makes no sense.
It wasn't wrong, based on what we knew, it was logically accurate.Yeah this is falling into another pointless argument where you don't budge and we talk in circles. Lol. No you just didn't admit that you were wrong. Every single person that witnessed that long back and forth agreed that you were wrong, you just tried to spin it that you were right. And that's how you argue, you argue from the point of view that you're right and the other person is wrong, that's why I, and many others just give up now. Unless you can entertain some wiggle room for potential that you're wrong, then it just feels like you're trying to be right as opposed to finding out the truth. That's how you come across to people in this forum. It wasn't wrong, based on what we knew, it was logically accurate.
Until further information comes out to say otherwise, you're not making any sense, and you're free to make guesses whether they make sense or not, you're entitled to that.
Fact of the matter is so far, the story points to One Piece being Ancient History.
Dude, could care less.Lol. No you just didn't admit that you were wrong. Every single person that witnessed that long back and forth agreed that you were wrong, you just tried to spin it that you were right. Couldn't care less* if you could care less thwn you would yeah?Dude, could care less.
Point is your theory is fine, but if it doesn't align with the story's facts, it's simply a theory.
I could theorise that Nami is Imu secretly, that's fine, but it makes no sense as it doesn't align with the story.
Your theory doesn't fit with what's known within the story, not that deep dude.
When people go to Laughtale, they say they learnt the history of the world, not that they found the source.
Again, if One Piece is a power source, explain how it fits with the story?
Like I said, could care less.Couldn't care less* if you could care less thwn you would yeah?
Nah, I've illustrated how pointless it is to argue with you. You seem to think the One Piece is just another Poneglyph, I tried to work with you on that and you wouldn't budge. I'm not going to paraphrase a popular theory. Just google it bro.
Could care less implies that you care, but you could care less. Couldn't care less is the actual saying, because it implies you well, couldn't care any less than you do.Like I said, could care less.
If you want your theory to be believable, back it up with evidence. That simple.
