I'm afraid a certain part of the internet is already being hateful, since they already revealed the casting to be a nonbinary actor.

I didn't even know they chose someone already. Such a bummer that people have to jump to performative bigotry.

And those are the same folks who say One Piece isn't political. They were always going to be asses about it and manufacture a grift/issue despite the casting literally being one of the most faithful to the manga.

Cole Escola, non-binary actor/comedian, mostly known for stage work (for now).

Googled some clips of them, and I think the casting will be good.

In addition to them, we already have castings for Ace, Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger

I don't know what people expected. OP so far is trying pretty hard to be accurate to the characters. Cole Escola will no doubt be a good addition if people would just let them do their thing.
