That's going to be a very...let's say visual (read: fanservicy)... rendition of that fight going by the cover.


I'm interested in where he'll actually pick up. Then again, it could just be a cliff notes of the events up until she confronted Kalifa and jump around from there until the actual fight.

I wonder if he'll sneak in the the final hits of Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji as well.

Honestly many of you are going to hate me for that but the Boichi x One Piece collab is a waste of his talent.

First he was allowed to adapt the Ace novel into a manga, but even though he got some creative liberty here, neither the novel nor the manga added anything truly exciting to the story. A clear example of fanservice, to be honest.

And now he got demoted to wimpy ecchi stuff. Maybe I am too old for this stuff, but I am certainly not prude, yet I think this is aethetically just subpar to Oda's own work, which is beautiful.

Ivankov vs Sadi, that would have been "ballsy" if you get what I mean and maybe added some value towards society.

This is like a 2/5 meh.

I mean it doesn't help that I always heavily disliked the way Boichi draws his female characters.. this looks so off-putting to me.

Really ended up liking his adaptation of the Ace Novel though.

The design is incredible; one of the best ones I've seen. Definitely something Kid would not blink twice in front of.

Chopper’s DF design makes absolutely no sense. Oda drew it like that only because of Hiriluk and Chopper’s flashback. First time I am disappointed by Oda. Unless it is not meant to be a human model and we will get a revelation later on.
