Re: One Piece Mega Convo Thread

You know... I think I know the perfect job for Moria. It would be like a dream job for him. He could be based out of Impel Down. Whenever new prisoners arrive, as part of their baptism, they get their shadows taken. He would get a continuous source of new shadows, some of which would be very strong. As for zombie bodies, there are deaths all the time in ID and the Whitebeard war may generate some high quality ones.

On the World Government's side of this equation, no one would ever escape ID again. Even if someone got out of the prison, the moment the sunlight hits them they would die.

The only negative from Moria's point of view would be he would be anchored in one spot. I suppose he could run away from his post though once his army was big enough. :)

It will be good for him but only if he works for the WG. If he wants to be PK or betrays the WG, the solution to beat him will be simple : kill the real owners of the shadow he took.

Re: One Piece Mega Convo Thread

even though this is all fun and interesting to see what would happen Moria would never become the head of ID. his best warrior would have to be any of the level 5 and 6 people shadow with a creation of his own. luffy's gear 1 is his normal self, i believe so too. question is does this mean that all of his upgrades/new moves, will now be based on gears??? now here is my question...if Ace discovered that many people and that many friends when he was working under WB why didnt he ever use them in the search for BB? did he really believe that he needed to do this on his own?? finally...does anyone feel that since all these side arcs, cover arcs, are wrappin up fairly quickly its an indicator of something??

Re: One Piece Mega Convo Thread

Ace looking for Blackbeard single-handedly because he feel responsible for Blackbeard deed aboard (killing his own mate). Teach was Ace direct underling, so as superior Ace had to settle this matter himself. About possibility of Moria settling inside Impel Down, I don't see a chances. If he really do that, it mean he no longer a pirate. Pirate is the one who roam the sea. Moria himself said as a pirate, he could sail to anywhere he wanted. Imagining Moria would giving up his ambition to be most powerful pirate to be stuck inside ID is not my way.

Re: One Piece Mega Convo Thread

You are right i totally forgot about that. im glad someone agrees with me about moria in prison. here is another thing i was thinking, why is it so hard to become PK if there are pirates in the world who are so feared they dont have to do much to get to OP, aka WB. why is only the new generation trying to become PKs not the older ones, who can actually do it quickly if they want to??

Re: One Piece Mega Convo Thread

Hmm, until now we thought that Ace wanted to make WB the next PK. We don't know anything about OP even if it exists. The only ones that probably know about it are Roger, Shanks, Rayleigh and maybe even Buggy, since he never showed any vocation to try and find One Piece but rather he wanted other treasures.

So my guess, the other half of the Grand Line is so fucking difficult that even great pirates can't get OP.

yes I know and agree with you, but try to understand the WG, he's supposed to ensure that peace and stability can be sustained, to put criminals behind the bars, which include WB, but if they can't people will lost respect, and in this case they will feel pity/mercy for pirates or they will see them as heroes which is the worse...
well, this is my opinion :tem
That can be true, but please don't forget that the WG has been using slaves, human trading, conquering by fear, using force, and some more stuff to maintain said "peace".

Some pirates do a lot better than the WG. WB's case: he helps keep the order in many places and he probably doesn't want anything from those places in trade for that protection.
the strawhats helped save Arabasta.
Fishers Tiger saved Fishmen and Slaves.
Strawhats helped slaves

Basically, on our point of view (I'm saying our, because I think that there are people who agree with me) the marines do bad stuff. Yeah sure pirates do, but they're supposed to be bad guys while the marines are the supposed good guys but they do badder stuff than the bad guys x)

get what I mean ? xp

Re: One Piece Mega Convo Thread

It's kinda sad that it's not only OP world but ours too that work like you mentioned sarutobi_sensei

the so called terrorists and criminals might never do (cannot do) as much bad things and with as large scale that the goverments / legal companies do

actually illegal business is kinda ecologic if we compare the legal ones

the most dreadfull aligment in my opinion is the lawful evil and those types of minds are concidered "good" in public actually it's the kind of mind that gets many thanks and manages well in the society maybe being an idol of some sort too and that type of minds often have most political etc power because they want it so bad for their own goals etc

its also common for lafwul evil person to put others do their dirty work

chaotic evil minds (most of the pirates might fall in this category like kidd for example) are often seen as criminals those are really bad guys but mostly do like robbing raping or some similar deeds but the lawful evil ones destroy whole species etc without anyone questioning what they do or judging it wrong legally

often it is the lawful evil minds that creates the laws also and they are in my point of view kinda responsible about lots of suffering in large scale in our world mostly because of their personal need of gain

when you do something you know in your heart is good and rightneous and law punishes you for it you know that the creators of that law are either lost ones or evil ones

luffy does lots of those things and i think maybe roger did too

luffys mind might be chaotic good or something

(speaking in AD&D terms) <- which too have been seen as evil game ... lol ?

Re: One Piece Mega Convo Thread

Marine are bad guys in very exceptional cases. Basically there were 2 so far
* the ohara incident
* the slave market
For the first one, we don't have all the clue, we first have to know what that void century is.
For the second one, it's more a tenryubito business than a marine one. And I believe that the marine don't do it because they want to rather than they are forced to.
For Alabsta, the marine were also on the good side.

I wasn't even remembering the Ohara incident! Look @ that! People trying to study what the WG says it's forbidden, because it probably contains bad stuff about them, and instead of putting them on jail, they killed all of them, except Robin, and destroyed the island!

The slave market is the WG and Marines fault. The WG should not do that, and the marines, as marines and assumed defenders of the people should protect them from that. Even @ the Ohara incident, there were those that did not want to destroy it, but the vice admirals, except for Aokiji, wanted to fulfill their missions. I know they are ordered, but they could've revolted on some occasions. There are a few Marines I consider really good, Coby, Helmeppo, Garp, Aokiji, Smoker, Tashigi, maybe Hina, and I don't remember anyone else.

yeah!! I get it ;)
and for this I've said they are supposed to establish peace and capture bad guys, but they are the bad guy, and pirates like Luffy, WB, Shanks, Roger ... are only fighting pirates, criminals and those who do not respect fishman and human values (Tenryūbito and others)

Basically, on our point of view (I'm saying our, because I think that there are people who agree with me)
me as well :amuse
I just opened this discussion to say that the WG clean his hand, his image and imposes his authority by stuff like this...

Re: One Piece Mega Convo Thread

If you compare the number of "evil" marines compare to the number of "evil" pirates you won't find that many. Like i said it is quite exceptionnal. And the Slave market is not made by marines, it's tolerated because of the power of the tenryubito whish we don't know much about yet
