I still think some of the shichi might turn against WG in the middle of the fight. that's far more effective than doing so beforehand.

Yes, I agree!

Kuma would be a prime candidate for that I think.

I can't decide what Moria would do if he saw Luffy coming during the WB fight, try to get even or run away. I get the feeling though he wouldn't get the chance to choose. Just seeing Luffy would be distraction enough for him to get schmucked.

Not "probably", "definitely". People have mentioned that Oda himself ensured that the bearded character appeared in the anime with that appearance, but I don't know the reference on what people say.

But yeah, even if we ignored Oda it's a definate thing. He doesn't make a character with a completely unique feature (like the beard) and then copy it for another one.

He confirmed in a SBS that it is Rayleigh. Someone asked who was that guy with Shanks and Buggy, and Oda answered it was the first mate of Roger. He also said he commented to the anime producer to not referer him as captain.

I just had the random thought, that Fisher Tiger could have been the ultimate reason for the creation of Shchibukai - assuming that some time passed since then and they didn't already exist

The Fisher Tiger incident happened when Boa and her sisters were still slaves around 13 years ago or so (I think? Feel free to check that for me). White Beard was around long before that, and I'd imagine there were other uber-powerful pirates to require the presence of the WG and Shichibukai.

We don't know when exactly it was - sadly.
also I'd imagine FT must have lived long before Gol got famous (which seems unlikely) or thereafter (which still leaves up to 20 years) however I think the only one daring enough to go on a rampage in the holy land should be similar in strength to the pirateking.

It's 15 years ago at least, because Boa & her sister enslave at 12 for 4 years so it's until Boa aged 16. According to Margareth said to Luffy when she described Boa, it seemed that Boa assumed the throne of Kuja immediately after her return (doesn't take so long). Nyon said it's been 11 years of her reign, so her age at last 27 (I don't calculate how much time she takes to return, i don't know but do she's takes a year or more to return? I guess not ). So she was started to get enslaved 11+4=15 years ago! Her age come from this equation 12+4+11=27 years old! we need SBS to confirm, but I think my calculation true

Hancock may be older then 27, it could've taken her a few years to become Empress. I could see her being in her early 30's, though not older then 32. It seems like a question that could get into an SBS, though. And Robin is 28, so going with the lowest possible estimate for Hancock's age, Hancock is younger then Robin.

i think shes round bout the same age as smoker and hina which would be early 30s, but i wouldnt be surprised if she endz up being younger than robin or even the same age...

Nyon said she come to power even when she was very young. No ideas, but I don't think early 20 considered young, but not very young. My wonder now why the women that attach to Luffy are older than him?

Look, Hancock was 12 when the Gorgon sisters were captured, and they were freed 4 years later, when Hancock was 16. And Nyon said that Hancock became a Shichibukai 11 years ago, meaning that she is 27, AT LEAST. And toxun already more or less explained this. So please, no more predictions that Hancock might be younger then Robin, or 25, or in her early 20's, or anything like that. You're only going to prove that you either can't do addition properly or couldn't be bothered to actually take the manga itself into consideration before posting your thoughts.

As to why Luffy is liked by women older then him, well, Luffy's kind of young. He's only 17, so most women he meets are going to be older then him. Have we met any (post-)pubescent women in One Piece that were younger then Luffy, other then Vivi? I don't think so, though Conis may have been younger then Luffy, Oda never gave her age, as far as I know.

Hey Imitorar^^ we don't know if the Luffy is still as old as in the beginning of OP. And Zorro, Nami, Ussop and Sanji could be a year older too right now.
