until now it has never been confirmed, just like Rayleigh using it against Kizaru.
BUT from the context of Luffy using it against Motobaro and later on his burst of Haki on the island of Hakiusers, it is imo a rather good theory to assume Sentoumaru used Haki perhaps additional to sth. else - there still is Dr. Vegapunk in the background after all

I still thought giants were a bit bigger than that, especially compared to Oz. Oh well.

This comparison can't be true... Those giants are definitely bigger than Moria, but in that picture it looks like they would be just as big as him. -> being able to sit behind the patch in Oz belly.

Sentoumaru COULD have been using Roukishi, as well Rayleigh using a seastone sword. Nothing is yet "confirmed".

This comparison can't be true... Those giants are definitely bigger than Moria, but in that picture it looks like they would be just as big as him. -> being able to sit behind the patch in Oz belly.

Maybe they could somehow squeeze inside. But Moria was sitting on a chair with plenty of free space around him.

Sentomaru using Rokushiki would be possible, though it'd be lame of Oda to reuse the technique after it seemed that Luffy was able to handle it, so lame that I doubt that's what it was. I think it's something new. And Rayleigh wasn't using a Seastone sword, because that doesn't explain how he could move Kizaru's leg with his sandals, which he did when he stopped Kizaru from shooting his Beam through Zoro at the end of chapter 511.

What Sandersonia and Marigold were using was certainly Haki, but who said that it was similar to what Sentomaru did? It had a similar effect, yes, but so did Rokushiki. But that doesn't mean that Rokushiki was Haki or that Sentomaru uses Rokushiki. We don't know what Sentomaru did or how it worked, so while we know that it had an effect similar to that of the Haki infused blows used by the Gorgon sisters, we can't assume that Sentomaru is actually using that technique. A lot of methods for hitting somebody very hard look the same, because all you see is somebody being hit very hard, but you don't necessarily know how they were hit very hard, and that's the case we have with Sentomaru.

i'm leaning towards haki myself, the same kind that the gorgon sisters were using. im only basing this on the similar facial expression they get when an opponenet is about to attack, but it's true that as nothing has been said...we shouldnt be quick to jump to conclusion

I think it just seems pretty obvious, Oda set it up so we didn't really understand what Ray or Sentou were doing SO WHAT DOES HE DO NEXT take us to a place where we are taught about Haki and what it can do by woman who are extremely proficient at it, you have to think of it in terms of a pot line, Oda wouldn't introduce something THEN introduce something very similar just to mess with us, it's tipical story writing.......They were all using Haki......

Andonan, you start to write here as if your thoughts are fact.^^ you may think, may be pretty sure or conclude, that "they were all using Haki", but we can't be sure of it.

The world of OP is still very misterious with various kinds of magic, fantasy sword styles and whatever, so why should'nt there be many kinds of different fighting forms, as many as there are devil fruits. :P

My understanding is that he already had the mechanism of Gear 2 worked out, and having seen Soru, Luffy was able to incorporate it into his Gear 2 style, so that could be a source for your confusion.

Yeah, he could but so there would be no reason to Luffy have told "there's something weird about this guy's since himself received a Tekkai Utsugi. If it was the same ability, Luffy would know.


There is no why to Oda do some mystery in something we already know.

Similar...having a general likeness, resembling.

I don't said it is the same technique and I don't assumed that Sentomaru used haki.

I know it's a theory, but this theory has great chances to be confirmed, don't you think? Since haki in physical attacks is the ability of the moment that can hurt Luffy. It is very plausible to think Oda, on "Adventure on Isle of Women" arc, was developing the skills that were unknown on Sabaondy Archipelago arc.

Sentomaru using Haki I would accept, although the Kuja seem to think that nobody else uses Haki in that way but themselves. Though the fact that Luffy didn't recognize Sentomaru's attack as Rokushiki is a good proof that it wasn't.

Luffy, by the way, saw Soru at Galley-la Headquarters when he fought the CP9 there, didn't he? I always thought that when he said he learnt from Soru, he was referring to the previous fight. Not to mention that what Shurou said made perfect sense, he had probably figured out Gear Second by the time they got to Enies Lobby, and came up with using Gear Second to do Soru later, assuming that the hadn't seen it in the previous fight.

And probably everyone in the New World will have a Haki, because a Haki is the by-product of a powerful, forceful personality, and most people in the New World are probably strong enough to have that sort of force of presence. However, I doubt that most, if any, of them will use it as a fighting style, because that seems to be specific to the Kuja. Although a few of the more powerful pirates around (such as Shanks, or Whitebeard) may have figured out how to infuse their attacks with the force of their Haki on their own or something. So while Haki will probably be common, the use of it for anything more advanced than knocking out peons probably won't be.

I don't think basic rokushiki will directly harm Luffy. Just Like untransformed Lucci hit Luffy with shigan when Luffy engaged him in Iceberg bedroom. Luffy just feel just get chocked

And I repeat, Haki is not a form of natural energy. It takes a certain level of force of presence to be able to manifest your force of presence, a level that not everyone has attained, and that manifestation is all that Haki is.

i didnt mean that haki was some sort of natural energy, i was just comparing it. i believe that you cant run out of haki unlike chakra and chi. its something that is there and you just have to devellop it to use it to your advantage. i kind of compare haki to you kno that feeling you feel from someone, like a killer intent.

I just think Haki is going ot be developed and expanded in many different ways....its like Luffy has gotten a brand new DF HEHEHE, we'll have as many haki variations in new world as we've had Gomu Gomu no attacks i reckon haha otheriwse i think things will get boring
